“Friendly, helpful staff. Extremely convenient. (Right next to the major rail/metro station.)”
Can't beat the location. Nice young staff people. Great view of Montjuic. check it out when you go to Barcelona.
“Nice Hotel”
I would recommend this hotel. It appear that it probably has had recent facelift and is very modern in its look, the reception is nice and i thought ok the room won't match and was pleasantly surprised it did. The room is basic but clean, TV, bath and shower and mini bar if you choose to use it. Was on the 8th floor looking over to the palace in the distance. There was air con but didnt use it as its the type that is shared and I know that has a tendency to spread germs. it was 3min walk from sans train station, 3 mins walk from the green metro line which takes you straight to the ramblers. 10/15 min walk to the palace. We never ate at the hotel it did seem rather expensive but that was not problem as we didnt intend to anyway. If I return to Barcelona I would rebook at the Hotel Expo.
“Great Location”
The hotel is a located walking distance from the metro and renfe train systems. Tour bus also located near the metro stain that takes you all over Barcelona. Hotel is in great condition, rooftop bar and pool. Concierge desk is very nice, friendly and speak English!! Cabs back from a late night normally around 7-10Euros.
“Great Hotel”
Hotel was very central to all locations and room was large, clean and well-maintained. The hotel staff were exceptional in terms of assistance. Received to excellent recommendations for dinner at the front desk from very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff at the hotel.
“My Second Home in Barcelona”
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to Barcelona. The hotel is modern and the service is excellent. My only complaint was the noise on the street late at night as one had to have the door open for coolness. My trip was end of March and I also stayed here mid April...on 5 different occasions. One staff remembered me on my return from France and I was impressed. English speakers were so welcomed. Staff answered all questions concerning train schedules and looked up bus info as well. As i booked each time they were helpful in informing me to book on line for good rates. I am not sure if it is 4 star ..but very close as far as I was concerned. I had friends from Spain join me one night and their room had twin beds..they also had arrived early in the day and were immediately upgraded to a king etc. The location is fantastic...the tour bus being so close and the train and metro..i used them all. I will gladly return again! I used the train from the airport and also the more expensive taxi ride but both are commendable.
“Great escape from the tourist Barcelona”
I have to say this was the best pick for me and my friend that were visiting Barcelona. It was far enough away from all the crazy tourist action and SOOO close to the metro... which I LOVE!! Don't be afraid to take the metro because it is AIR CONDITIONED. Especially in the summer time it is a god send! The hotel is super modern and staff knows English very well. The only thing lacking is an ice machine on the floor and room service only goes until 11pm. The pool area is really relaxing and has an amazing view. The beer at the roof top bar is a great price but the mixed drinks I don't recommend ordering them pool side because they are too small. They have a new motto which is lounge, play... something like that... but check out the 3rd floor they have internet access (which you have to pay..boo) but the coffee is really good at the cafe and the breakfast buffet is really just...ehh... but if you don't want to hunt for breakfast go here.. becuase you won't find anything remotely close to an "American" breakfast. Over all I would come here again when I come to visit Barcelona again. I loved the modern approach to the Hotel and the rooms very very basic and cozy with a balcony. The rooms could use a better paint job but I was just trilled their was air conditioning, black out curtains and an amazing shower. We got an a deal for staying 8 days and even though the rooms could use a remodel it was such an enjoyable experience =)
“Only 1 block to Airport Train Station”
I would recommend the hotel for the location close to the Metro L3 Green line and Renfe Sants Station.
“good value for money”
Convenient for trains, metro, busses. There are a few restaurants and a supermarket next to the hotel. Lavish buffet breakfast and all expected mod-cons.
“Cant' wait to go back again. It did meet my expectations.”
It was a pleasant stay at the hotel. It was nicely located next to the train station and close to all major attractions. We arrived early from the airport to take the cruise in two days. We were planning to leave our laguages at the front desk and tour the city before the chek-in time, however our room was ready and by 9 o'clock we were in our room which was everything I expected. The room was clean and and has planty of room for laguages. The staff was very nice, spoke english and was very helpfull. I liked to chat with them. Ovearall if you staying even for more than two days i would recommend this hotel to everyone and will stay there again next time. Thanks to expedia I got what I was looking for. Definate yes.
“Excellent holiday and hotel”
Amazing Holiday. Our holiday went well, Barcelona is a city well worth visiting, plenty sunshine, various food, plenty places to visit, however most people there do not speak English. I love the hotel we stayed in, we were treated very well as it was our wedding anniversary. The staff was great and so helpful, they spoke English. The roof terrace has a lovely resturant and swimming pool, great place to relax with fantastic views. The breakfast however was a little pricy, but huge buffet menu. We were given hot water from the kitchen, whenever we needed to make tea in our room. I could have done with a kettle in the room. We had a lovely view from our room balcony. I would love to stay at this hotel again. Be aware of the airport train, platforms for that train can change on the last minuite, we experience this on going back to the airport, the announcements was only in Spanish and many people boarded the wrong train, thank God my husband could have understood spanish otherwise we would have missed our flight.
