Great Basin Waterpark Vacations

The new owners have pulled out the coffee makers, microwaves, irons and the little things that made this property stand out with such a great price. The staff have been excellent every time we have stayed there and Michael at the Horseshoe bar is fantastic. easy to talk with and always attentive to his customers. It is due to the people that I continue to stay here but if the prices keep rising, I may be looking for rooms elsewhere.

Heated pool was a welcome treat. The room was spotless and comfortable. Staff was welcoming, helpful, and flat out amazing.

We always stay here when we come to Salt Lake. It is close to the airport so it’s great for early morning flights. The breakfast is good. The grandkids love the big pool and water slide. We’ve always found the staff to be very friendly and helpful.

The indoor pool/water park is a plus if you have kids; The only downside is that it’s very noisy- you can hear people talking in the hallways, your next door neighbor too, it’s like the walls are so thin; you can also hear footsteps out your door as well as your upstairs neighbor’s walking around their room; lots of kids banging on doors, pranking people (i would be totally cool with this if I didn’t have little ones sleeping); front desk only answered the phone once and when I tried calling again, no one answered. So if you’re only there for the pool, it’s great but if you’re there for comfort as well, I would not recommend this hotel. It’s a 3/10 in my opinion.

The room was wonderful--clean, nicely appointed, and quiet. The bathroom was spotless and beautiful. And the HVAC worked perfectly. We saw kids in the hallway and at breakfast. But we did not hear them while in our room. And we couldn't hear the coming and going late in the evening or early in the morning. Perfect! The pool was warm. The breakfast was okay. The hot food selection was not wonderful, with only hot oatmeal and scrambled eggs. It's the one thing that this hotel could improve on.
