The room we were given smelled strongly of mold, the private pool was too gross to swim in, the small beach was not inviting and everything generally felt decrepit, dirty and in poor condition. After complaining and showing staff our issues with the room, we were eventually moved to another one which was much better. Our experience wasn't great but some may like it and staff was responsive. (1,001 reviews) Stayed for 2 nights and everything we needed were just there: towels for pools (different than the towels in the suites), drinking water, and a range of toiletries were available including a shaving kit. Room was great and the balcony had a rack to hang wet clothes. With very limited options, or at least cheap options, in breakfast places in the Alona beach area, the free breakfast made our stay so much better. For the two breakfasts we had, some dishes were different on the second day. We paid for their dinner buffet as well and it also had a great variety of food available.
