The views from the hotel are breathtaking! The location is perfect for enjoying all of Syros, especially Asteria Beach. If you want loungers at Asteria, reserve in advance. We had two sea view rooms in the historic building for three nights. The staff was friendly and always helpful. The bar was great for drinks before going to dinner and the breakfast each morning was delicious. The mattresses were stiff, which is the only minor complaint. Highly recommend!

We had a fantastic stay at Palazzo Santa Maria and would highly recommend it. From the moment Nicholas collected us from the port, the hospitality was exceptional. He is an incredibly kind and attentive host and couldn’t have done more for us – helping with taxis and restaurant bookings, offering recommendations, and even driving us to Ano Syros one evening and giving us advice on where to eat and what to see. The hotel itself is beautiful – a historic building restored impeccably, combining its original character with modern luxury and everything you could need. Our upgraded room was finished to a very high standard, the bed was extremely comfortable, and despite being only a short walk from the centre, the area was wonderfully quiet. We slept incredibly well throughout our stay. Breakfast was another highlight: simple but done exceptionally well, with lovely table service from Anna, fresh fruit and yoghurt, cakes, continental options, eggs and freshly made coffee each morning. A beautiful hotel, wonderful hosts and a perfect example of Greek hospitality. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return.

The Hotel Benois was very conveniently located across the road from the beach. Lots of eating options nearby as well. The staff were very helpful and easy to communicate with. Breakfast was very good with a decent variety of options. The rooms were very comfortable. Staying in Galissas is perfect if you want that beach experience yet it was a quick 15 min bus ride into Ermoupolis with the bus stop across the road. Having a pool to lounge around at anytime was also a treat. Would certainly not hesitate recommending this hotel.

Excellent location, literary 30 seconds walk from the harbour. Room was compact but we had everything we needed. Shower drain needs improving, water very slow to drain after two showers. Being located on the ground floor next to the front door we experienced noise of guests coming in and out at night. Breakfast buffet was small but excellent quality with à la carte egg dishes also available. 15 mins complimentary massage in the spa was a nice touch and the WhatsApp concierge service was a life saver for organising taxis and beach club bookings.
