(533 reviews) We stayed two nights at Railay Village Beach Resort in a Deluxe Poolside Room and it was absolutely dreamy. The property may be a few years old, but it’s beautifully maintained and definitely feels like an upper-class stay. The rooms are huge, with an incredibly comfortable bed and plenty of space to unwind. The pool is stunning, surrounded by plumeria and tropical flowers that make it feel like your own private oasis. Lounge chairs can be a little competitive since there aren’t many, so grab one early if you’re keen, but each patio has its own seating area, so it’s never really an issue. The resort is wonderfully quiet. You’re steps from the beach and the main strip, yet you hear none of the noise. It feels tucked away while still being perfectly central. The staff are fantastic, warm and attentive throughout our stay. Breakfast was also excellent, with a generous buffet selection including hot dishes, salad bar, pastries, breads, juices, coffee, and a made-to-order egg station. We loved our stay here. Comfortable, peaceful, beautiful, and perfectly located. What’s not to like? 10/10, would happily relax at Railay again. However, From the pictures posted on Expedia to what the rooms actually looked like we're very different. The beach front was pretty but again not what it looked like online. From our room the doors were very thin and we could hear everything going on in the halls. We didn't feel it was a four star hotel as advertised, we also recognised that every location has a different standard of hotel. We are grateful it was clean. I was trying to sign for my bar check at the pool and she very loudly and aggressively said I was not registered in that room. I felt completely humiliated- as she did this loudly and in front of other guests. I asked her to check with the front desk to confirm this was in fact my room. Which it was. She could handled this with kindness and discretion, but she chose not to. If the hotel wishes- I can provide a picture of this woman. (135 reviews) This is a lovely modern hotel with very interesting design. It was a cool place to hang out. The breakfast was delicious and had many options. We took advantage of room service and the bar, as well as the pool. The staff was so lovely. Every time we came in, they would greet us with kindness. It’s about a 10 or 15 minute walk down to the beach. There are many delicious restaurants close by. We opted to have the pool balcony with our room. I don’t think we would do it again, but it was an interesting novelty. We had a nice view to the ocean. It was a bit of a distance, but we enjoyed it.
