Ko‘olauloa District Beach Vacations

A surprising gem in Waikiki. No, it's not on the beach. And no, it's not a giant resort. But what we loved about it was the great location (5-8 minute walk to Waikiki Beach), friendly staff (always smiling and saying hello), and consistently clean hotel. Yes, it is an older hotel. But we didn't come to stay in Waikiki to stay inside. We greatly appreciated how the staff made us feel welcomed. From the valet, check-in, cleaning, restaurant, and maintenance everyone made our stay simply wonderful.

Totally nice staff as far as the help at the hotel, but management was careless and useless. Restaurant Monkeypod was top of the line. Now the other restaurant Ki Kala or whatever the name was only other restaurant there besides Monkeypod. Waiter literally was picking his nose (multiple occasions) and proceeded to blow/wipe nose in shirt after the picking. Then grabbed my lime for my drink and straws for mine and my wife’s. Brought it over to us like nothing. He obviously didn’t know we watched the whole thing go down. I took drinks up to head bartender and told him of the incident and requested new drinks. He blew it off like nothing said he would prepare new drinks we did not receive those until after eating part of our entrée. Management was made aware of the situation as well before we left in disappointed and disgust to say the least. My wife was over and ready to lay out by the pool. I ran upstairs to get a coupon before we get 15% off when dining at restaurants there and I just kind of wanted to feel the situation out because I did not want to pay for that bill. I ran upstairs got my coupon. Went and talked to my wife and that’s when she noticed security with manager are taking a picture of our table. I walked over towards one of the waiters to pay the bill and give him the coupon for they had never brought a bill and in that time Honolulu PD showed up I got my bill. I paid it and I never heard anything other than the assumption of they thought we skipped out much mor

I liked the staff at the swell pool bar and the beach amenities! The carpet was outdated and the circulating in the hotel room was bad - my nose was stuffy every single night.

Everything was perfect! Thank you to the Marbella Team, our stay was excellent. We enjoyed everything Mākaha valley had to offer. Especially the amazing sunsets! 10/10 would recommend

We loved the dolphin lagoon the beach and amenities. Restaurants were very good.

I loved my stay here! The free breakfast vouchers were awesome. Location is unbeatable. Ocean view was beautiful.

We had 3 adults staying there. It was advertised for 3 adults, however, the futon foldout was only big enough for a kid. We took pictures of our adult kids and their heads went over the futon. However. After complaining, the owners dropped off a double/queen blow up mattress, about the 3 day into the stay, meanwhile one of the kids had to move into our room. So, bad news, the room was not set up for 3 adults, but good news after days of complaining, the bed was corrected.
