Staff was excellent

So after 20 years of going to Vegas The Rio was one of the few mid level hotel casino I haven't stayed in. So I booked 2 days and right after check in I noticed that the elevators to the Ipanema towers were really slow. So after a few trips up and down I noticed that only 2 of the 6 elevators were working. On a Labor Day weekend this was unacceptable. Several times I noticed around 25 to 30 people all waiting on elevators. That's the first issue. Next I noticed that many of the shops/stores were either closed or out of business. This was all hours of the day. The Starbucks was twice as expensive as a normal one(I get it) and closes really early. Food in general was notably expensive. Of course the resort fee was more than the room....then they tax the resort fee...and then tax the room. Can't make this up. I stayed because I wanted to see if the famous buffet was still going on....and of course it wasn't. To say I was disappointed in my stay there is a tremendous understatement! So the saying goes.......NEVER AGAIN! Rio....you need to do better!

Love the peaceful feeling in the room. The pool was nice could be clean more often. Called to get the room clean but then don't do the beds. They only throw the trash away. Need towels you need to ask for them. They had forgotten about the room because we left and nothing was done. But other then that it was a nice stay.

Disappointing stay, especially given the high expectations and our Platinum status with Expedia. Upon arrival, we were told they didn’t have a room ready for us. When we finally got one, it faced floor level instead of the real city view that was promised during booking. The room itself was dirty, and for a property claiming five stars, it completely missed the mark no bathrobes and no slippers provided. Despite being Expedia Platinum members and celebrating our joint birthdays during the trip, we didn't receive any recognition, perks, or acknowledgment. To top it off, we were incorrectly charged for the twenty-five-dollar drink voucher. We were told at check-in (without any mention that it couldn't be used by the pool) that it was valid for one use per visit, only to find out it wouldn't be honored by the pool and had to be used at the lobby bar instead. Service was dismal across the board. An older staff member was outright rude at checkout, and in eight previous trips to Vegas, this was the absolute first time a staff member didn't even bother to ask how our stay was. Having stayed at seven other Vegas properties, this was by far the worst experience. My wife really wanted to stay at the Conrad so our expectations were high, but other Vegas hotels have consistently met those standards…this one didn't come close. We won’t ever be staying at the Conrad again.

Horrible checkin / checkout... Would never stay there again...Double charged me entire stay and still fighting to get someone to refund 2nd one that is so clearly a duplicate for same stay....

Everything was fine, nothing spectacular or special. Staff just seemed to go through the motions.
