A “Grand Dame” of historic properties. Well located, the staff is helpful and friendly. Very well kept property.

While clean my room had weird stains on the curtains. There are cracks in the paint on the walls. The bed had visible dips from age and was beyond soft. Was told I could park my car in a certain area for free - I got a ticket. I was surprised given it is rated 5 star

Wonderful hotel. The rooms are beautifully appointed, the staff are so friendly and Gordon, the manager, takes great care of his guests. Delicious breakfast as well. Highly recommend!

All staff at the Great George are all so nice and helpful!! The staff go over and above to make your stay memorable. Very clean rooms. I was in the Wellington building. The main area on first floor in Wellington could use a little updating to make it more user friendly. The breakfast was excellent. I liked the manager drink from 5-6 pm on weekdays.

They had everything you could ever need for your stay plus more!! Hot tub, swim spa, sauna, yoga studio, huge bedrooms, heated bathroom floor, giant bath towels, I could go on and on! Will definitely be back during the summer season to take advantage of the beach

My stay here was absolutely incredible. Staying in the historical building itself is enough, but the interior looks like you are transported back a few hundred years (the general area sitting room was exquisite in decor/furniture). The room itself had a fireplace, amazing furniture - just can't say enough great things! Awesome experience overall.

Excellent location. Walkable distance, just a block or so, to main street in Charlottetown (you dont have to worry about parking as you can park for free at the hotel). It is located nicely on PEI so you can drive to most other PEI tourist places within an hour to 2 hrs. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fine. They do different things each day at least they did while we were there. They always had some type of egg, whether it be hard boiled, scrambled, or something else made with eggs . They have different types of bread, english muffins available. At least one day I was there they made fresh home baked cookies and had them out for guests. They were really good. I thought the bed was comfortable, my wife thought it was a little bit too hard. There was some knocking noise going on every now and then in the walls. Guessing it was old pipes. Fitness center had a treadmill, elliptical machine, one bench, dumbbells up to 30lbs, and a captains chair to do abs and dips. Not a lot of weight to do any heavy lifting but you and still get in a light workout, If I were to visit PEI again, I would definitely consider staying here again,.
