Tavira Island Adults Only Vacations

Stayed here in August with my husband and 6 year old for 12 nights. The rooms are modern, clean and beds very comfortable. The pool was the highlight, it's huge, with 2 smaller kids pools. Plenty of sun loungers and nice fresh towels every day - so no need to bring any. The breakfast was fantastic! We paid for the buffet one evening which was very expensive and I wasn't impressed with the food at all. The Italian restaurant was nice but overpriced. The hotel is located next to the beach which is great but we discovered all of the sun loungers had reserved signs on them so we couldn't stay long with no shade. There really isn't much around the hotel at all, we ended up paying quite a bit to go into albuferia in the evenings. Overall we loved the hotel itself but wouldn't go back due to the location and very overpriced food and drinks.

Tucked away in a peaceful corner of a lively tourist area, this resort strikes the perfect balance — welcoming for children without being overwhelmingly kid-focused, ensuring adults can truly unwind.

Staff very friendly, arrived early but was check in directly. However they need thy adjust the check out at 11am or 12 am. 10 am not good Hotel clean, very beautifully apartment , Swiming pool good but there was no bar pool at my place , however you can easily enjoy drinks in the siter hotel Lovely different fruits for breakfast Lunch and diner okay for the all inclusive . But lots of restaurant around the hotel Overall will recommend the hotel and will return one day.

Run down and dated.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the newly opened Viceroy Ombria Algarve, and it exceeded our expectations in nearly every way. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome—genuinely friendly, attentive, and always eager to help without being intrusive. The architecture is truly a standout feature: modern yet rooted in the local aesthetic, with beautiful design touches throughout that made the entire property feel luxurious and unique. The pools were absolutely incredible—serene, well-designed, and perfect for relaxing under the Algarve sun. The entire hotel is spotlessly clean, and every space feels modern and updated, clearly reflecting the care that went into its recent opening. We also spent some time at the spa, which was nothing short of perfection. From the ambiance to the quality of treatments, it was a top-tier wellness experience. The on-site restaurants were also excellent. Each meal we had was flavorful and beautifully presented, with a variety of options that catered to both local and international palates. One important note for future guests: the hotel is located in the countryside, so it’s a good 30–45 minutes by car to the coastal Algarve towns and beaches. A rental car is definitely recommended if you plan to explore beyond the resort. Beautiful resort with a very calming vibe. It’s very big but never felt like there were lots of people around or overcrowded. Staff are very friendly & helpful. Rooms were spacious and very clean. Large variety of options at breakfast. The only issue we faced is that it’s quite far away from anything, the nearest shop for amenities is a 25 minute walk away, and you need to get taxis everywhere as there isn’t anything in walking distance or any local transport options, although the resort offers free drop off/pick up at the Marina 3 times per day. Would highly recommend for a relaxing and luxurious break.

We had a great stay at Pine Cliffs. There were a couple of points I'd highlight for improvement. The pool areas are very crowded and I think the resort would benefit from having another pool. There were no staff or life guards around the pool areas. Other than that, it was great.

The room looks old, old TV but surrounding the hotel is great

The resort was very nice, right on the beach. Pools were nice. The pool chairs were kinda old and worn out. The place was full of 18-20 year old british kids who treated the pool like they were the only ones there. You could tell the other guests were not happy about it too. Food at the resort wasn’t great. We went to the a la cart breakfast which took forever because they had one server and the kitchen was in a separate building. The other restaurants on property were not rated well so we ate elsewhere.
