I absolutely love this resort but I was a little disappointed due to the destruction of the hurricane. The first two times I have been to this resort it was so open and welcoming. The staff went above and beyond. The new staff is not as friendly or helpful. I understand they are doing their best to get it back up and running. Just wish I would have been given a heads up. I used to get up before sunrise and walk the whole resort just to enjoy the beauty and peaceful atmosphere. Whether it be the open water of the ocean on the family side of the resort which wasn’t blocked or full of obstacles. You could actually swim and enjoy the salt water and sea life. At night I always walked around after dinner because there was always something different to experience. The clubs, the different restaurants, or the different entertainment thru out the resort. I truly hope my next visit will be much better after all the prior staff is back in place, as well as repairs and renovations are complete.

Beautiful setting, different from most beach destinations. Rooms surrounded by trees with birds and goats roaming around. Very pleasant and peaceful. Just the right amount of nightlife too! The Martini/Piano Bar is great.

La propiedad es hermosa, la alberca es enorme y siempre está muy limpia y el hotel no se diga está hermoso, tiene una playa muy bonita y la área es muy tranquila 😍😍
Lo único malo es el staff, algunos son muy lentos para llevar los alimentos otros no te quieren atender y eso que uno les da una buena propina y ellos con su cara de enojados

If you’re planning a solo trip, Riu Reggae in Montego Bay is definitely the place to go. You’ll never feel alone the staff is absolutely wonderful, there’s always something fun to do, the food was good, and the drinks were on point!

Absolutely loved this resort! The staff were extremely nice and went out of their way to accommodate any requests, with a smile on their face. Ruth, Shavel and team at the Spa gave us wonderful massages.
Cons: Dinner food was okay, but not great. Steak and lamb were so tough, we could not cut through them with our knife. Fish had several bones in them on 3 different occasions. Breakfast buffet was great. The jerk chicken was the bomb!
