Very noisey crowd after 11 pm.. great place to relax and unwind but be mindfull that the noise continues after 11 and sometime early early mornings... some staff was welcoming while others were very like they did not want to be there .. overall i would pick riu palace over riu reggae for sure ..

This property was very clean. The food was amazing. The staff was amazing. You never got bored. There was always entertainment. You stay at one you play at three wonderful wonderful time. I will definitely be sharing my experience about the Rio hotel. I’ve stayed here many times before so my expectations Were sat

My 3rd visit to Jamaica (2 - Riu Ocho Rios, 1 - Riu Reggae). My first two stays were amazing, however my experience at this propperty was terrible. Poor customer service, limited dining and poor hours of operation at restaurants. Hotel is very dirty and food is covered with flies. I will not stay at this hotel again or with Riu.

When booking i requested a two-bed room. Upon arriving i was notified there wasnt one available but i could switch to one the next day if i came downstairs to again request one before 11 am. My guest and i packed our bags and arrived at the front desk by 10:30. I was informed again there was no room available. So now we jad to leave all our luggage (unattended) with the. We were told to come back at 2pm. 10:30 -2pm in the hot sun would have been bad enough, but when we went back at 2pm it still wasnt ready! We were then told to come back at 3pm. The resort had a dance show that we got into so we went back to fron desk at 4pm instead. ROOM STILL WASNT READY AND WE GAVE THEM AN EXTRA HOUR. Fast forward went to front desk at 6pm after still no notification of a room being ready and asked for a manager. The allowed us to enter our new room even though it still "wasnt ready" because i complained.... what was wrong you may ask? We were waiting all that time for 2 pillowcase covers THAT WE NEVER GOT ANYWAY! all those hot hours in the sun. Now lets talk about the food. HORRIBLE the buffet was horrible the two restirants we were able to go to bamboo and the italian resturant... both horrible! Nothing was ever to temp. Nothing was cold and nothing was hot. Everything was room temperature. Infact everything jad this freezer burned taste. You could tell that they just put everything in freezer at end of day and sat out for consumption again the next day... overall pick somewhere else

I would like a refund We had no AC for 3 days food was horrible we were not aware of the hurricane staff did not accommodate our needs because others could not fly out we had access to 2 restaurants the last 2 days we had a horrible trip!! Mold in our room the view was horrible we paid so much money for this vacation and it was a waste of my hard earned money. I’m glad to be back safe but I would not go back or recommend this resort
