The initial room that we booked we had to move to another one due to the air conditioning leaking water overnight causing the room to flood.

Nice facility. Polite & accommodating staff. Very curious that the bars did have ingredients for standard drinks and drinks offered on their menus. Wi-Fi was off and on for our 9 days.

We loved having the best of both worlds. We were staying in the jungle, but right across the street was the beach. The staff was amazing always, we loved it there. We definitely will be going back. You cannot go wrong. Staying at sunset at the Palms.

The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful; however, the dining experience was quite disappointing and inconvenient. Due to the seaweed issue, the snack shack was closed Monday through Thursday, which significantly limited available food options. Additionally, the resort restaurants operated on rotating schedules, meaning not all restaurants were open daily. This resulted in long wait times at the restaurants that were available. For example, our party of six waited over an hour to be seated at the steakhouse. The Italian restaurant required reservations several days in advance and was unable to accommodate us during our stay, and the wok restaurant was closed the entire week. As a result, our only consistent dining option was Sanctuary Town, which is not included in the all-inclusive package. Unfortunately, santuary town area felt very quiet and lacked activity Another concern was the excessive pricing at the hotel shops and spa. One ring being sold for $150 USD at the resort was available on Amazon for approximately $20, which made the pricing feel extremely inflated for tourists. If you wanted to get a basic manicure or pedicure you are looking at spending over 100$ Lastly, I would not recommend visiting this hotel during the summer months if you want the beach, the beach was closed for the entirety of our stay due to an overwhelming amount of seaweed, which negatively impacted the overall experience.

If you’re expecting good food, it’s not for you. Property is beautiful, safe and well maintained. Staff is awesome. Food sucks, sucks and sucks. Even the “gourmet options.

The room was nice but this is an older building and there was definitely mould in the shower. However there were 2 sinks and that was great. Many parts of the hotel are showing their age. We did see the cleaning staff trying to keep the common areas clean. The bar staff were very friendly and did a great job preparing our drinks. The buffet was okay but there were very little options for people with dietary restrictions. The beach area is beautiful and clean. My one major complaint was the smoking. When I researched this hotel, I did not find any details indicating that it was a smoking hotel. There is a designated smoking area but very few people used it. No one at the hotel enforced this rule. It was disgusting to find cigar and cigarette butts in the sand and by the pool. We also found the customer service staff either unwilling or very slow to respond to customer requests. The service staff were all very friendly and helpful even if their english wasn’t the best.
