But horrible was location of the room. It was on the 4th floor and there was no lift. Flying from Minneapolis to Paris and changing 4 trains my wife and I had to carry our luggage since there was no one to help climbing those steep stairs. The shower cabinet was missing part of a door so didn’t close the whole way and no where to hang wet towels. Also the bed is in a corner so one person has to climb in and out from the bottom. It is fine for a brief stay and the bedding was clean. We checked in with a friendly staff member, which is actually located in a convenience store as the ground floor. He gave us the code to our room, located on the top floor (#51). Unfortunately there is no elevator. This had a roof top balcony overlooking the city which was quite nice! Bed was comfy, bathroom and shower were clean, the room came with a portable AC unit to help at night. Honestly exceeded my expectations for the cheapest double room available in town. We were able to grab food around the area, lots of options. ##### Grant Stayed 1 night in Jun 2024 ### 10/10 Excellent #### Aria Apr 6, 2024 Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities, property conditions & facilities good budget friendly rooms in the heart of zurich and a 10 mins walk from the train station. the neighborhood has a very dynamic nightlife and is filled with restaurants, nightclubs and bars. it’s very fun to walk around in during the day but it’s not the most family-friendly area at night. a lot of drunk people hanging outside. the entrance is through a convenience store (open 24h) and the hotel reception is at the cash register of said store. the rooms are definitely not the nicest and you can tell that it’s a budget option but they do the job for a couple nights and everything seemed clean.
