The house has great potential - a lovely bright and airy property, garden west facing, secure and excellent for a young family and the house is in a good location (although not walking distance to the beach as the listing states). There was one big thing that really lets it down and would stop us returning - all the beds are terrible! So very uncomfortable and old (I found a tag on one saying it was made in 2013). No mattress protectors were used and when I stripped the bedding (as requested) at the end of the stay stains and even stray hairs were visible, urgh! (good job I only saw this at the end!!). We have stayed in many hotels and houses and never have I been so relieved to get home to my own bed! The house could also have been cleaner in general and it was frustrating that despite the premium price point we had to take our own towels. We had a brilliant week in Woolacombe and loved the area but wouldn’t return to this particular property due to the awful beds - owners please get some new ones and use mattress protectors on them, have a thorough clean and we’d be back! ##### Alison R.
