Staff members were nice and friendly.. everything was good

First, I am a platinum member with Expedia, and I booked the windowless room, knowing there were other rooms available and supposedly I would get a free upgrade if a room was available. We stayed in the middle of the week for only two nights, and online it said there were better rooms available, when I asked about the room upgrade, they said "that is Expedia." If it IS Expedia that failed this, I will no longer be pushing to get those extra nights stay to keep status. If it is the hotel, Expedia should work with them, because they didn't even know what I was talking about. The location is prime location in canal park, that is the strongest positive of this hotel, there are others I would consider before booking here again. The hotel room, didn't have any bedding on the pull out couch, but they were able to bring some to the room no problem. The hotel room had some sort of food splatter on the ceiling, near above the bed, I am sure it is difficult to clean, but that was the reason for the lower cleanliness rating. Staff was okay, some were friendly, some were very underwhelming. The continental breakfast was the worst breakfast we have had even compared to motel 6 stays. I generally don't eat breakfast, but my kids prefer to, and when comparing hotels, I will lean towards a hotel with a continental breakfast, I DO NOT suggest you consider the breakfast here to be in your decision making at all. There was hot food, but it was disgusting. Even the kids wouldn't eat it.
