The Guest House at Irish Ridge Farm is located at the end of a dead-end gravel road and offers a calm, peaceful setting to enjoy each other and the outdoors. Come experience life on a Minnesota farm nestled in the rolling hills of Winona County.
Enjoy the sunrise with a cup of tea or coffee on the covered front porch and an evening glass of wine in the 3 seasons room while you watch the deer graze. The property sits on 40 acres and offers spectacular ridgetop sunset and plenty of space to explore. The large yard area has a fire pit and is the perfect space to enjoy a game of bags or plan an outdoor picnic. Firewood is available onsite for purchase.
The 2,000 square foot home easily accommodates 8-10. There are 3 bedrooms, a 3 season room with a pull-out couch as well as a finished basement with a queen pull-out couch. We just added a queen air mattress that self-inflates and has a headboard. There is also a main floor laundry available to guests.
The Guest House offers ample seating to enjoy a meal, complete a puzzle or play a game with eat-in kitchen seating for 4, a dining table that seats 8, and a basement pub table that also seats 8.
You can relax and unwind in the various indoor living spaces. The main floor living room includes a cozy sectional couch and chair that are perfect for a quiet afternoon book or recapping your day's adventures. The lower level includes a couch with 2 reclining chairs and a smart TV. The 3-season porch has a comfortable sofa seating area and a farmhouse-style table.
Guests can expect a true country experience gathering farm fresh eggs when available, watching our herd of Angus cattle graze, and also observe the deer and other wildlife that call Irish Ridge home. The property is ideal for anyone looking to get away from the busy day-to-day life to relax and unwind. Families will enjoy the space to explore and interact with nature. There are any number of quaint local shops and restaurants just a short drive to Winona (14 miles) and LaCrosse (29 miles) making it an ideal choice for a short getaway.
Outdoor enthusiasts are sure to love our farm’s close proximity to Great River Bluffs State Park, a beautiful hiking location offering stunning views of the Coulee region’s famed bluffs along the Mississippi River. Biking enthusiasts will enjoy the Mississippi River Biking Trail, the nearby Root River Trail System. We enjoyed our stay here. The place was very clean and had plenty of room for the 10 of us. The place was well stocked and had everything we needed. The host was very responsive. We would stay again.
Great host and amazing setting! The house is set up perfectly for a large group. Plenty of things to do if you want to stay and relax at the house or use it as a place to stay while visiting the area.
Host family were very accommodating and had a great time here! Our family enjoyed the amenities, scenery and chasing turkeys. Nice people all around and property was what we needed for our stay. Very satisfied
This place was amazing! More than accommodating for 4 different families. Super clean! Rented it for our fishing tournament and had ample space for 2 boats and charging them. Will definitely keep it on the radar if we have a tournament there again.
This was the perfect getaway. Peaceful and relaxing, the property or guest home did not disappoint. Decorated beautifully and very clean. Maggie was very nice to communicate with and responded quickly. Highly recommend a stay here.
Our families from Indiana and Illinois came to Winona to see our nephew play football for Winona State. The seven of us loved our stay here. Other family members were able to gather with us after the game for a meal including s'mores around the firepit. There was plenty of room to play games and for fellowship. This is one of the best vrbos I've ever stayed in!
We all loved this farm home! It was very nice. We had more than enough room for 7 adults. Checking out the chickens and goats, and all the love from Larry Daniel Tiger (their kitty) was an added plus!
Did I mention the fresh eggs for breakfast?!
Loved this stay. Nice place for a bigger group. Basement is a great spot for movies or family game night. Outdoor space is beautiful with lots of animals to explore. Very clean, charming decor, and includes all amenities. Didn’t need to bring much. Definitely would stay again
We had a great time playing yard games and grilling. Been a while since I played croquet. Plenty of room for everyone whether your playing cards or reading in a quiet porch.
Five friends stayed at Irish Ridge Farm for a long weekend. The house was a perfect fit for us and was immaculate and had everything we needed. Maggie the host was the best, so friendly and helpful. We loved getting fresh eggs for breakfast and the little goats! We hiked sugar loaf mountain, and at Perrot State Park the bluff. We ended one evening at The Trempleau Hotel for music and dinner. It was a great get away!
We were in the area for our son's outdoor wedding. We needed a space to prepare food for the rehearsal dinner and this home worked perfectly! This home is roomy! We especially appreciated the 2 refrigerators for our meal prep purposes. Maggie and her family are very kind people! The farm cat and hens visited and the goats said 'hello' from their pen nearby. Such a cool farm experience! We also took a walk on the trail they have....just a beautiful property! If we need to stay in the area again, we would definitely return!
