Pet-friendly (our dog loved running around in the fenced backyard), clean, sooo cozy, and convenient to everything. The beds are super comfy and the kitchen is well-stocked. We felt very much at home there. There are two parks within walking distance (one less than 1/8th mile), it's walkable to downtown, and the street is historic, quiet, and lovely. The view from the deck is incredible! The river is closer to the house than it appears in the listing pictures, and we spent much of our time on the deck or in the great room appreciating the view. We were even lucky enough to have a train pass by one morning, and we saw the old swing bridge in action. Check-in couldn't be more effortless, and the host responds very quickly. We were also pleased with the variety and quality of the restaurants in Washington. Can highly recommend The Bank Bistro and Bar (amazing Caesar salad), Pam's diner, and Havens Mill Pizza (take out only). Truly one of our favorite rentals of all time. It was a fairly quick drive to Goose Creek State Park. FYI- this section of the river and the nearby Haven's Park are saltwater fishing designated. If you fish from the park downtown (past the railroad bridge), then it is freshwater. 20 minutes away in Grimesland, there are public ponds managed by NC WRC that stock LMB @ GPS 35.5825, -77.1716. ##### Jesse F. William was a great host. The house is super quiet and quaint. We loved that we could have the dogs with us and the yard is a great size to play ball with them and let them run around. The river and pond are perfect for fishing and downtown is walkable. The interior of the home was very clean, had everything i needed and more. The neighborhood is pretty and very walkable. Communication from William was just right. The perfect location for sunrises, sunsets, walks to town. The historic neighborhood is charming and was decorated for Christmas while we were there.
