Tasteful decor and tile floors create a pleasant and warm home, with new kitchen cabinets and granite counters. You can watch whales during winter from the private balcony and enjoy the incredible view of the protected bay and neighboring islands all year round. People who have stayed here have come back over and over again. Maalaea is central to the island's many attractions. 20 minutes from the airport, 20 minutes to Lahaina, Kahului and the North Shore with it's many windsurfing locations. Shopping is about 20 minutes by car and restaurants are in 5 minutes walking distance. 5 minutes walk in one direction brings you to Maalea's yacht harbor with a small shopping mall and the well known Maui Ocean Center (Aquarium). 5 minutes walk the other direction will bring you to a 2 mile long sandy beach. Comments from previous guests: We have enjoyed our two week stay in your lovely suite immensely. The view has provided endless hours of entertainment watching all the whale activity and the daily parade of turtles passing us by. We hope to return next year for a longer stay. Mahalo, R. and P. Convenient location from which to explore the island. Condo was fully stocked with everything we needed including pots & pans, beach towels, beach chairs, etc. I would certainly stay at this condo again next time I visit Maui. ##### Sarah H. The house wasn't clean and dust was in every stuff (living room, bedroom, etc) and in the kitchen floor. The worst part was having small cockroaches moving around on the cabinets, drawers, counter, and in the bathroom floor. Every time, I wanted to grab cups, spoons and etc saw small cockroaches and we had to wash utensil before using them. I let the manager knew and they just place some bait in the kitchen but it didn't work and we saw those cockroaches until the last day of the stay. Additionally, The bathtub stopper wasn't hold the water in the bathtub and we let them know and didn't fix it and seemed didn't care. ##### Fatemeh C. Only problems were the kitchen faucet is a leaky piece of crap. The glass louvers in the bedroom window do not seal and the wind whistles through them all night at a high volume. The wind was wild at times, but I love the wind, and you never need to turn the air conditioning on. The one thing g that could have made it more convenient was a shopping cart for groceries going up the elevator. It is quite a task to take up a lot of groceries. We have stayed at the Island Sands many times over the years. To us there is no better place. IS310 was no exception, great views, clean, well stocked and quiet. Unit had everything we needed and a spectacular view. We loved watching the turtles swimming from the deck. We set on the lanai everyday, watched turtles, drank coffee and soaked up the ocean views. The condo was furnished well and we found in our 17 day stay that we had all the amenities necessary to have a fabulous time.
