Too noisy but otherwise nice

Place is nice and secure. Perfect for foriegners. Buffett is outdoor, so flies......ugh can you guys move this indoor? Saturday night live band is so noise. Some of us may have early morning departures for flights or tours, so it would be nice if you turn down the noice after 10 Doors between rooms are so bad. Absolutely no insulation. Even if you whisper next room can hear it with time floors. They have paid no attention what so ever for insulation or noice reduction

Отстойный отель в котором обманывают

Начать с того, что отель расположен в глуши где вокруг ничего нет, рядом одно кафе и хибары местных жителей. Мы были на машине и нас это не напрягало, но тем кто планирует провести здесь свой отдых надо учитывать. Океан в этом месте серый и неприглядный, заходить в воду не было никакого желания. Теперь сам отель: Наверное когда-то он был вполне себе респектабельный и тянул на свои 4 звезды, но сейчас все обветшало и пришло в упадок. Создаётся ощущение заброшенности: огромное здание заполнено едва на одну четверть, в холлах не работают кондиционеры, повсюду пыль, территория неопрятная с вытаптанной травой, мелким бассейном и галдящими воронами. Номера: сантехника вся в белом налёте, унитаз бежит, убираются плохо, серые полотенца, вообщем все как в отеле из которого только выжимают деньги и не вкладывают душу и средства. И вишенка на торте: Оплату за проживание взяли два раза. Оплатил на сайте, но когда приехали, на ресепшене попросили оплатить ещё раз, т.к якобы первый платёж только заморозился и деньги вернутся на карту после выселения. В итоге, через 3 недели после звонка в Hotels.com выяснилось, что мой платёж списан. Предложили сделать возврат если предоставлю документы подтверждающие оплату в отеле, которых естественно нет. На обращения отель не реагирует. Hotels.com тоже ничего сделать не может. Вообщем последние 2 дня отдыха из почти 3-х недельного путешествия по прекрасному острову были подпорчены. Будьте внимательны, всем удачи!

We stayed here from the 3rd - 17th December Bed & Breakfast. We had about 9 complete days with no rain or cloudy skies. We normally go all inclusive on long haul holidays & after staying here & only having our breakfast, we thought as there would be the normal bits through the day to stop the hunger, there was nothing, no shops close either. We had some good meals at the small Snappers eatery across from the railway, which you had to walk across :( The room was clean & breakfast ok

Overall good place given the price. No drink service at the pool. You have to walk to the bar and get your own drinks. Same with the pool towels, you have to bring them from your room. The buffet was decent, and good service.

A nice all-inclusive. Good range of drinks available all day, A little too much time between meals but snacks available. Good buffet and nice private meal in the garden terrace which was prepared especially for us which was very kind from the Chef.

Nice property, but not managed properly.

The room was comfortable enough, but the food was lousy and the service exasperating. Having a physical infrastructure is one thing; having a culture of hospitality and service, quite another. The management should take note of several lapses in guest comfort and satisfaction.

This hotel is a scam!

When we arrived, there was no line at the check-in desk, yet, we were asked to wait in the lobby. So, we were waiting and were left unattended until one of the bell boys was kind enough to remind the guest service lady that we were still waiting. Finally, after 15 min., we got greeted. The original hotel reservation was made for 1 person, so I kindly asked the lady about the extra person charge for my cousin to stay in the same room with me (her flight was changed to a different date). The lady took our reservation page, double checked with the guy at the front desk and returned to us stating that it was ‘ok.’ My cousin inquired again, because we were willing to pay an extra cost right away. She assured us that it there was no extra charge. We thought that was nice of the hotel to do so, and we were very pleased. When we were taken to our room, the key card scanner wasn't working, so we spent 40 min. waiting outside for the engineer to come in let us in. Finally, when we were resting after our jungle trip, we received a call after 9:00pm from the front desk, stating that we owe money for extra person and that my credit card will be charged. I couldn’t believe what I heard and I've never experienced such an unprofessional approach. I thought it had to be an error or miscommunication, therefore, I went to speak with the manager in the morning. The manager apologized and admitted that the lady who checked us in made a mistake by not informing us about extra person charge. The m

My friend and I absolutely loved this hotel! It was much better than expected. Rooms are beautiful and so are the views. Right on the beach. Spa was excellent and so was the food. They recommended UpLanka Tours to pick us up from the airport and also for a day excursion- they were fantastic and so friendly! I would definitely recommend this hotel again- the staff is super friendly and helpful. My only complaint was a 250 rupee "room service charge" every time we wanted them to bring us some ice. It's not a lot of money, but it's the principle of it. I have never had a hotel charge for some ice; even cheap motels give it for free. Some suggestions for management- the gym needs a major makeover, and the bar outside could use some good music and maybe events to draw more people in. It has a lot of potential. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay.

Good service and food

Location was not great as the sea was rough and the beach not too good. Food was very good as was the service. Room needs a bit of re-furbishment but the bathroom has been re-done well recently, which is what really matters.
