The Pacifica Inn is a special little place out in the middle of the Pacific Ocean where you can experience peacefulness and tranquility. Come and enjoy the beautiful Hapu’u trees that surround the property. Relax and enjoy the sounds of endemic birds and their melodies while the Coqui frogs sing at night. Consider staying in one of our rooms at The Pacifica Inn. We don’t do luxury at The Pacifica Inn, we do Hawai’i! The Pacifica Inn is located in the beautiful Mauna Loa Estates just one mile from the town of Volcano. In Volcano you will find restaurants and shops to enjoy during your stay. The Hawai’i National Park is only 5 minutes away. This makes the Pacifica Inn a perfect location after a long day of experiencing the best of what Hawaii has to offer. The Hilo International Airport is 40 minutes away and renting a vehicle is the best way for transportation around the Big Island. The Pacifica Inn is located in Volcano which is in a high altitude of 4,000 feet. Volcano is very tropical and rain can fall at anytime during the day or night. Temperatures can get cold at night so we highly recommend you pack warm clothes along with your swimsuits. The water is not consumable and we recommend guests bring their own drinking water during their stay. We appreciate your interest in The Pacifica Inn we look forward to being able to host you. This cozy one bedroom, one bathroom apartment features one queen bed, two twin beds, and a futon, allowing to comfortably sleep 6 guests. There is one adult size cot available holds up to 220 lbs. pounds with a mattress that is available upon request. Please let your host know that you will be needing the cot when you book. Upon entering the place, you and your guest(s) will immediately step into the dining/kitchen area. There are 2 tables and a bar top that will seat 6 guests. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to make meals throughout your stay: \-New Two burner Hot Plate \-Microwave \-Mini Fridge \-New Toaster \-Keurig/Coffee Pot (creamer, sugar and coffee pods and grounds) \-Pots & Pans + All the basic cooking necessities \-Dining Dishes \-Dish Soap and sponge \-Oils and seasonings for cooking The full bathroom has all of your basic toiletry needs: \-Shampoo \-Conditioner \-Body Wash \-Hair Dryer \-First Aid Kit \-Toilet Paper After a long day, relax near the fireplace in the living room area. Cozy up on the couch with a warm fuzzy blanket and watch a movie on the 32-inch smart TV. Wi-Fi and parking on the premises are free. Parking is limited to 1 vehicle per room rented. Parking is for guests only. There is no assigned parking. Visitors must park on the street. Due to Mauna Loa Estate community rules no overnight street parking. Please note: This is a multi-unit property. There is a total of 2 buildings offering 4 units on site. The house in the front has a studio unit upstairs (The Volcano Room) and a 1 bedroom ( The Gecko Room) downstairs. The trail leads to a back building with two units which are ( The Nene Room) and (The Hapu’u Room) which are side by side units. The rooms were very clean and there was great entertainment options (games available to play) and lots of beds, which is what we wanted. However, we really wanted the hot tub which this property advertised, but was clearly not being uproot or available for use. There was one line in the posting, that the water is not drinkable. I applaud that this property is so green, but it was somewhat inconvenient for utilizing water. The biggest complaint though were the beds. They were rock hard and actually have us back issues the following morning. The location so close to the national Park was great. ##### Sara K. The room smells clean, but the beds are stripped not made. The linens are on the living room table and stacked on the bed. There is food from the previous guests in the fridge. Alll of this seems fine. Not the best but fine. We drop off our belongings and go out to dinner. When we get back to the room at 6pm there are people in it. This makes me incredibly uncomfortable. It is the host amd the housekeeper. The host says "i hope its ok that we came in to finish cleaning". No it is not ok. Our belongings are in her already. Its 6 pm. She said she sent and email asking if it was ok. Well why would I think to check my email during dinner? And no response does not mean its ok. To enter a room that is occupied. So we decided to leave, there was a violation of privacy and I felt uncomfortable that she felt it was ok to enter unannounced. She offered a refund and we have yet to receive one. This was a very weird and uncomfortable experience. One star. All our belongs are accounted for at least. ##### Jennah P.
