"If you are looking to be close to nature in an active vacation, this is your place to be. We went in Dec 2025\. It was gorgeous to have snow at your doorstep (literally), a frozen lake 2 min walk and forest about 5 min walk away! It was a joy to have the ability for the kids to get into their snowsuit and play outside whilst the adults prepared for the day. It was a comfortable cabin. The staff were very knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and accommodating. All the activities started from the camp, so we did not need to travel far. Book the activities in advance as they sell out. We did all the activities offered and wouldn’t skip a single one if we were to do it again. We missed having a shop/ restaurant onsite. However, Kiruna was just a 15 min drive away. Coop in old Kiruna is very large and lacks nothing (including ready made meals)! If you can, keep a day for Kiruna and visit the mine. If you are looking for a luxurious cabin, this isn’t for you. We barely spent anytime in the cabin. Thank you Pranav, Alex, Vani, Nico, Luca, Andrea, Hans, and everyone else we have missed out. It was a spectacular vacation and we have come back with very fond memories. Will definitely recommend Camp Alta. "

"The place is located near the highway, which is great, especially when traveling long distances by car, so that you can rest well overnight. The room was silent and the surroundings between the nature are calm and peaceful. Just take into account that there might not be food service so you have to manage it, from at least a few kilometers away, also the room didn't offer shampoo or hair conditioner in case of taking a shower. Other than that, the room was basic but clean and comfortable."
