(1,279 reviews) The staff at Hotel Lucia are fantastic! The rooms are clean and even though I was on a major street, the room was also quiet (this can be a problem at historic hotels, but not this one!). The location in downtown PDX is also great — you’re near to all the greats like Powells City of Books, Pioneer Square, and if you don’t mind a short walk (short for me, at least), Washington Park and the Rose Garden. Public transportation is also a snap. A few downsides: there’s no in-hotel restaurant. So, if you get in later like I did, you won’t have a place to grab dinner and drinks. Same goes for breakfast (though the 5a coffee service was appreciated and there’s LOADS of nearby restaurants to get breakfast — I recommend St. Honore Bakery if you like the glutinous!). I’d also like a bit higher end toiletries as well given the price of the room.
