Bienvenidos a Casa Azul! Welcome to Casa Azul. Perfectly located on beautiful Jones Avenue. Enjoy the breeze from two porches and the easy walking distance to the beach. Enjoy the beautiful swimming pool surrounded by a privacy fence and a brick-paved outdoor patio area for sunbathing and entertaining. There is an adjacent covered patio, perfect for grilling out and gathering with family and friends. This beautiful home has been masterfully crafted with guests' needs in mind. A perfect resting place that is bright and sophisticated with 4 large bedrooms, and 4 and a half bathrooms. The main level of the home, on the second floor, includes an open living, dining, and kitchen area. The casual yet sophisticated living area includes a plush sofa and large chair and ottoman and a large flat-screen TV. Just off the living area, are french doors that lead to the large screened porch with outdoor lounges and cushioned seating, that overlooks the quaint cottages that line Jones Avenue. The custom-crafted kitchen features beautiful stone countertops and all stainless appliances and includes a dual coffee/Keurig brewer, an espresso machine, dishwasher, toaster oven, and a toaster and a built-in microwave. The beautiful granite breakfast bar is perfect for gathering while cooking a gourmet delight, or enjoying a glass of wine with friends. The large dining table seats up to 8, with additional seating for 4 at the breakfast bar. A half bathroom is located in the hallway. Large windows, tall ceilings, and a neutral color palette have created a warm and inviting atmosphere that transcends from room to room. Bedroom 1 is located on this main living level, furnished with a King size bed and flat-screen TV, and has a beautiful en suite bathroom with a large walk-in shower, dual vanities, and a large soaking tub. The remaining three bedrooms are upstairs on the second floor of the home. Bedroom 2 is furnished with a King size bed, a flat-screen TV, and a large private en suite bathroom with a custom tiled walk-in shower. This room has french doors that lead to the large covered balcony, that sits above the main floor balcony. From here, get a birds-eye view of the treetops of the surrounding homes and cottages. Bedroom 3 also has a King size bed, and a flat-screen TV, and has an ensuite bathroom with a large walk-in shower. Bedroom 4 is furnished with a Queen size bed and a Twin Bed. Bedroom 5 doubles as an entertainment area, and is furnished with a Queen Sleeper Sofa and also has a flat-screen TV. This bonus room shares a common full bathroom and a walk-in shower with the fourth bedroom. You will love the whimsical details in the custom-designed fence surrounding the pool. There is a gas grill for guest use and a fire pit for evening gatherings. Rinse off after a day at the beach in the enclosed outdoor shower with hot and cold water. This was such an amazing 30th birthday getaway trip with my closest friends and family! We cooked together in the large kitchen the house had to offer, played boardgames at the large dining table, walked to the beach, showered off in the outdoor shower and spent our afternoons in the pool after the beach, and partied in Savanah only 30 minutes away! The house was really clean and had a good amount of space for everyone, even the person that stayed on the pull-out sofa. It was clean, beautiful and looked even better than the photos. Highly recommend. Negative: we had asked to check in early & were told they would text us if it was ready. However, when we did go to check-in (30 minutes early, 3:30PM for a 4PM arrival), the door was still locked by the code. When the code finally let the door unlock at 4PM, we walked into a house where it was super hot because the AC was off, & the refrigerator was also off due to a Breaker being tripped, (which we had to figure out ourselves & had to clean up water all over the floor underneath the refrigerator due to all of the ice melting.) So clearly with those 2 things when we walked in the door at 4PM, someone had not been in there cleaning & the house had been “ready” much earlier or else we would not have walked in to those issues. So if we had been able to check in earlier, we would’ve been able to address both problems much sooner and would not have had walked into a hot house and a big mess. That being said, by the time we got settled in, figured out the problem, cleaned everything up & called property management, it was Friday night and it was considered “after hours,” which was not a great experience. So they weren’t actually able to do anything to help the house cool down. So we had to sweat it out the first night. Not a great start to trip. The Rest of the trip was great. ##### Steph M. May 20, 2019 #### May 2019 Stay Casa Azul is the perfect place for a family vacation. The house is huge and having 3 master suits was perfect for our adult children and families. Just a 10 min walk to the beach and a beautiful pool area as a bonus. The kitchen was very well equipped and spacious. All baths were huge with great walk in showers. We had a great time with our group at this house. It’s a simple walk to the beach and close enough walk to the park and a few good restaurants. The owner is awesome. He takes great care of the place. The pool and outdoor spaces were incredible. The only issue I found with the house was the listings number of bedrooms. They count the second floor family room/landing as a 5th bedroom which was confusing. There was a pull out bed but we were staying here with 4 families. All the kids still young on a nap schedule. So that area without a door or closed off entrance was unusable for our group. This was only a minor setback. We had a great time. ##### Timothy C. We choose this house only because of the pool and beach. The pool pump was not working when we arrived and the pool was dirty and the water was green. We made several calls to the management company and on the second day they sent someone to turn the pump on but they did not clean the pool. We were told someone would come on Friday to clean the pool (we arrived Sunday and were leaving Saturday). Finally, on the second to the last day, they told me they were short handed and that no one was coming to clean the pool. They did refund part of our rental due to the inability to use the pool. We waited and planned almost a year for this trip and were very disappointed. The beach is a little farther from the house then we expected and not an easy walk. They advertise golf carts on the island but there were none available to rent. We would have been okay with a ocean view but the ocean is not visible from the house. The house is nice and accommodated four couples easily. Three rooms have ensuite baths and one smaller room has a full and twin bed and the small bathroom is across the hall. This is definitely built for a vacation rental and no one lives there or has lived there. We cook most meals at the house on vacation and had to improvise some for cookware and serving dishes but we managed fine. It really does have everything you need to get by. The coffee pot did not work the first day and management brought a brand new one out almost immediately, which was fantastic.
