Wonderful medieval experience!

I have no idea how you take a medieval town wall and update it to current amenities, but it has been done beautifully in this apartment! Turkheim is a treasure and so authentic. So very glad we had the opportunity to stay here as a part of our Christmas Markets epic trip!

Like Vacationing in a Fairytale

From the moment we parked our car and walked the few short meters to the front door of Gite Winstub in Turckheim, we were met with something out of a storybook. The entrance to the property was so unique, not a single person seemed capable of walking past without admiring its old world charm and beauty. The word "old" is truly misleading here, however, because though the property is reportedly over 500 years old, it has been renovated both inside and out to provide the vacationer with an experience that is both medieval and modern. Gite Winstub is nothing short of enchanting! Also, the village itself brags many cafés, shops, and even a small local grocery store. And the fact that all of this charm is hemmed in by beautiful and impressive vineyards makes Turckheim a fabulous place for people of all ages. I absolutely struck gold when I found Gite Winstub on the VRBO website. The host, Gregory Neff, must be an artist to create something so functional, beautiful, and imaginative!

Es war für uns soweit alles prima, leider war es doch etwas dunkel in der Wohnung, da es nur sehr kleine Fenster gab. Aber es hat uns trotzdem gut gefallen.

Stilvolle Unterkunft in historischem Gemäuer

Das Quartier liegt in einem historischen Gemäuer der Altstadt von Turckheim, man ist also mittendrin im "romantischen Elsaß". Bad und Küche sind ganz modern, passen aber stilvoll zum historischen Ambiente. Man sollte wissen, dass eine richtige Wendeltreppe Wohn- und Schlafbereich verbindet! Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit und sprechen prima Deutsch. Wir haben hier eine wunderbare Woche verbracht!

diese fewo ist etwas für junge leute. für ältere menschen fast nicht zumutbar wegen der treppe ins obergeschoss. ansonsten ist die fewo geschmacksache ich bevorzuge sonnenlicht in den wohnräumen.bei schlechtem wetter ist diese fewo eine katastrophe.ich würde nicht nochmal in diesem haus urlaub machen. die wohnung ist liebevoll eingerichtet.

Authentische Unterkunft in einem historischen Gebäude

Die Unterkunft, in einem hübschen Winzerort gelegen, ist zentral, fußläufig ist alles erreichbar, zahlreiche Wanderwege in der Nähe. In historischem Gemäuer eine gemütliche Unterkunft mit allem Notwendigen und tollem Feeling. Superlage, um daß Elsass mit all seinen Facetten zu erkunden. Allein störend wirkt der Verkehr am Haus vorbei.
