Casa Luna del Sol has been beautifully crafted with native Tulum stone feature walls in the living room and each bedroom, bringing a feel of Mayan history to the condo. A mix of native hard wood and modern furnishings, LED lighting and a fun Moon and Sun theme throughout this private and spacious 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom, air conditioned Penthouse condo will make checking out difficult! Relax and roam in over 3300 Sq. Ft. of gorgeous indoor and outdoor living space. Five private outdoor spaces, including a rooftop garden sky terrace, with private plunge pool. The ENTIRE 3rd and 4th floors are exclusive to the unit and that means no neighbours walking by your door or windows. The complex also has a large river-like communal pool, surrounded by a beautiful tropical garden, a bridge and a shallow end for children. Casa Luna del Sol is situated less than 5 minutes from the famed sugar sand beaches of Tulum and the bustling town centre by car. Or, use our 2 included bikes and ride to town or the beach in about 15 minutes on a dedicated, safe paved bike path. Free parking on premises and taxis available outside the building. 24/7 Security on site. Our unit is by far the largest condo in the area and the only 3 bedroom unit for rent in our complex plus the only one with a private plunge pool! The living room has a large comfy leather sectional sofa and relaxing mood lighting for evenings to help you unwind after a busy day of exploring. Hook up to our Bluetooth LG XBOOM 360 Speaker to complete the mood with music or turn on the 70” Samsung smart TV with surround sound and catch up on some movies. Open the large (screened) patio doors off the living room to enjoy the refreshing ocean breeze and open the space to the outdoors. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the essentials and lots of space on the granite countertops for food prep. Bosch quality oven and cook-top. Microwave and all the expected small appliances you may need. The dining table inside seats 4\. We have a dedicated work space for those who may need to work remotely. It includes a roomy desk, with a 27” Samsung curved monitor, bluetooth keyboard and mouse for your use. All 3 bedrooms have smart TV’s, private bathrooms, blackout curtains and are tastefully furnished. Master has a King bed and shares the terrace off the living room. The 2nd and 3rd bedrooms have Queen’s and their own small private terraces with a chair and table to relax before bed. The main living area opens to a large L shaped terrace. It includes a large covered dining area that seats 8 comfortably and includes a hammock. The other side has a cozy private feel, surrounded with beautiful foliage it’s perfect to enjoy the morning sun. 4 comfy lounge chairs beg you to work on your tan or sink into the ultra comfortable swing chair with your morning coffee. You will be spending a lot of time on the rooftop garden sky terrace! With beautiful lush tropical plants and a sweet ocean breeze, this space can be enjoyed day and night. We commissioned a very talented local artist to paint the mural of the Mayan Moon Goddess and Sun God, bringing the Moon and Sun theme up to the rooftop. This sets the mood for this incredible space. Multiple areas to relax, including a large palapa with lots of seating for dining or relaxing and LED lighting for the evening. Comfy patio furniture sits under a large LED lit umbrella in the corner and more lounge chairs to stretch out on after a dip in the plunge pool. It’s ideal for cooling off during the day or relaxing with a drink in the evening. You can also get your BBQ on if you don’t feel like dining out. We have a nice sized BBQ and lots of counter space for your food prep and also a sink for washing up. After dinner, bring up the telescope and do some moon/star gazing and toast some marshmallows for s’mores over the gas powered fire table! THE AREA: There are countless great places to eat on the beach or in the town of Tulum. The new Chedraui grocery superstore is located a convenient 2 minute drive away. There are also coffee shops, a boutique market and deli and restaurants just down our block! Tulum is also an awesome jumping off point to visit a vast array of world class theme parks, underground rivers, cenotes and stunning archeological sites. The famed Tulum ruins are less than 5 minutes away by car or taxi and there’s even a swimmable cenote local to Aldea Zama that’s literally just down the road. We have priority reservation access to one of Tulum's premiere beach clubs (adults only - 18 and up) so allow us to make reservations for an unforgettable day of sun, surf and all the fantastic food and drinks your budget can afford. Everything was excellent – the space was clean and beautifully maintained. The host was incredibly responsive and made sure all our needs were met promptly. Excellent communication and guide book (pdf document emailed by owner) with excellent tips about great places to go and things to see while there. We had an amazing time. My kids absolutely LOVED the pool and we were the only people using the pool every time we went. Not that we needed to have it all to ourselves but it was a very different experience compared to some places where the pool is always crowded. It was our first time vacationing in Mexico and we absolutely loved it. Casa Luna Del Sol was an absolutely beautiful condo. The location was perfect. A super safe and walkable area. Five minutes by car to the beach or to Tulum town. We spent the days doing excursions and then walked just a few minutes down the street to a local market for dinner. We had the best sausage pizza ever! (Cooked over a wood oven with wood cut from the nearby jungle) as well as the best Rib Eye steaks my son had ever had. The condo itself was wonderful Very warm and inviting. We traveled with our three kids ages 26, 23 and 16\. Plenty of space and comfort for a family of five. 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms was super nice. The rooftop patio was amazing. A beautiful place to relax under the stars. Our only wish is that we had a full day without excursions to enjoy it. Ha ha. The host Lana was awesome. She was extremely kind and helpful I reached out several times and she was quick to respond and gave lots of suggestions etc. I absolutely recommend staying at Casa Luna Del Sol. My daughter sponsored this trip for my birthday and it was better than expected! They say kitchens and bathrooms can sell a place but I was sold before I made it to the stairs! The ambiance after walking through the front gate is more than one can imagine with the beautiful pool and tropical plants all around. The unit itself is immaculate! The kitchen is spotless and there will be no fighting over the 3 bedrooms as they are all equally great with stone walls, closet systems and super clean En Suite bathrooms! I was given the use of the master that had a king sized bed and patio doors that opened to a covered deck with dining table and opened out to a fully furnished patio that was also accessible via the living room. The other bedrooms had small balcony's as well. We enjoyed a meal or two there when it rained. We took the stairs up to the private rooftop and there we daydreamed about owning such a place while relaxing in the wading pool and under the covered area (it can get quite sunny and hot) as well as lounging on the uncovered patio. We spent one day enjoying the decks and relaxing before going to dinner. I recommend it. There are no downsides to this condo. However, you should make arrangements for a roundtrip ride from the airport and back or rent a car. We used USA Transfers. Lana Hill responded to my texts within minutes but I really didn't need to contact her as she provides a great guidebook to you just before you travel! Stay here! There is the main floor patio with outdoor dining, hammock and lounge chairs, PLUS a bonus rooftop patio with dining, lounging, cooled plunge pool! Despite multiple days of cool, rainy weather (we must have brought it from our cold-weather home!), we explored the area and tried out the bikes. Host has many resources for stay and are listed well on the Vrbo site. Minor maintenance issue was addressed very quickly. Lana was very responsive and helpful when needed. We used provided bikes to get around and they worked well. We rented two additional bikes and brought bike helmets with us from home. Most do not use bike helmets in Tulum. The area for bike storage was convenient; we managed to store the additional two bikes in this area, but tight. We cooked in house 1/2 the time and felt we had all we needed. The accent lighting is a nice touch. This is a great penthouse condo! We stayed with our 2yo daughter and 4 yo son, they had so much fun exploring the rooftop balcony, and I wasn't worried about their safety. They have a pack-n-play which we used for my daughter. The kitchen had everything we needed, the beds, bathrooms, and living spaces were great. You can't get a better location without being directly on the beach, it's a short drive or bike ride to the nearby beach clubs. This neighborhood is new, I think the owners said that this was one of the first complexes built in this area (Aldea Zama), so it's not brand new, but like new. It was so clean and well stocked, and all the instructions and recommendations were clear and spot on! It was almost too easy :) This family trip included myself, my husband, our two children (8 & 14) and my mother (68). The condo was so clearly described it was like stepping into the pictures. After morning adventures to ruins, cenotes or the beach, we enjoyed siestas in comfort before heading out to explore Tulum's main.
