Bedrooms:
Our house features a primary bedroom with a king bed and luxury memory foam mattress. The ensuite includes double vanities, with a unique touch of elegance with its light-up faucets that display the water temperature in corresponding colors. You can indulge in a soothing shower experience while enjoying breathtaking views of the canyons and mountains through the walk-in shower. There are two additional guest bedrooms - one with a queen bed and the other with 2 full-size beds, all equipped with memory foam mattresses. The second bathroom offers a full jetted tub/shower combo with two vanities. For extra guests, there is a comfortable queen-size sleeper sofa.

Kitchen:
Our kitchen features stainless steel appliances, including a microwave and dishwasher. It is equipped with high-quality knives, frying pans, and pots. Coffee lovers can enjoy both a French press and drip coffee maker. We provide wine glasses for your enjoyment. Additionally, there is an outdoor grill available for your use.

“Spool”:
Our house boasts a unique custom built-in `spool` that serves as both a refreshing soaking pool and a heated hot tub. The `spool` measures 135` in length, 61` in width, and reaches a depth of 60` at its deepest part. It features comfortable benches for relaxation and is equipped with invigorating jets and a soothing light. If desired, let us know if you would like it heated and we can turn it on for your stay, allowing you to enjoy a warm and rejuvenating experience in the `spool`. We always offer FREE heating for the spool from 2pm-10pm! However, we cannot guarantee a heated experience due to the occasional challenges of managing mechanical systems.

We know accidents may happen, therefore, after the booking is confirmed we will require you to put your credit card information into our Boarding Pass system for a $1,000 security deposit. The security deposit is a temporary authorization for the duration of your stay and will be released after your stay if the property was not damaged in any way. Temporary authorizations aren’t charges, just a way to ensure your payment method works. Any damage that occurs above the security deposit amount is your responsibility to pay. Please note that the temporary authorization release may take up to 14 days depending on your credit card company.

The `spool` is situated on a secure and enclosed patio, surrounded by a fenced area that includes a gate with a lock, separating it from the rest of the yard. Access to the `spool` is limited to the interior of the house, specifically through two slider doors, both equipped with locks. This design ensures privacy and provides an additional layer of safety. You can enjoy the `spool` with peace of mind, knowing that it can only be accessed from inside the house through securely locked entry points. For the safety of children and pets, it is important to note that they should never be left unsupervised in the vicinity of the `spool` or the enclosed patio area.

There are stairs throughout the house (there are ~5 stairs to access the home from the driveway, and inside the home there are ~3 stairs to access the bedroom wing, plus a few more to access the “spool”). Additionally, tile and concrete floors can be slippery in certain types of socks or slippers or when wet. If anyone in your group is unstable on their feet, you might consider a different property. We also do not have any baby-proofing or kid gear.

The home is pet-friendly, and up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome for a pet fee. Upon booking you must select the number of dogs –aka `pets`— to bring your furry friends.

We welcome dogs in our listing and strive to provide a clean environment for all our guests. Although our property undergoes professional cleaning, it`s important to note that minimal traces of dog hair may still be present. We kindly advise that this rental may not be suitable for individuals who may be sensitive or bothered by such traces.

As a result of our property`s location in the hills, we have strategically placed rodent and pest traps on the premises. We kindly request that dogs and children are not left unsupervised around these designated areas. In the event of any pest-related concerns, our dedicated team will promptly engage our trusted pest control company to address and resolve the issue.

To ensure the safety of the property, exterior cameras have been installed. The neighborhood is very safe, but this helps us keep an eye on the property and allows us to help you with any problems even more efficiently :) In addition, the neighborhood has 24/7 security patrol.

Our house utilizes smart technology to be able to access and use features in the house. We suggest guests feel comfortable with technology if choosing to stay at Casa Saguaro.

Please note that the garage is not accessible.

A rental agreement is required for all stays. Once you book, we will send the agreement to be signed electronically through our Boarding Pass system before granting access to the property.

To ensure a secure and trustworthy experience for all guests, we`ve implemented a two-step identity verification process. This involves collecting personal information, verifying it against government-issued IDs, and in some cases, performing background checks. Guests will be asked to upload a photo of their driver’s license (front and back) and take a quick selfie. These measures help us protect our properties, prevent fraud, and prioritize safety for everyone. We take privacy seriously and handle all data with care, in compliance with applicable privacy regulations.

Casa Saguaro is located on an acre of land in the Catalina Foothills. The property is home to lots of wildlife. Please be alert that rattlesnakes, coyotes, bobcats, javalina, scorpions, tarantulas, and other creatures live here.

The primary renter must be at least 25 years old and must be present during the stay. There is no minimum age requirement for other guests in the group.
To ensure you and future guests have a pleasant stay, and hopefully not receive any surprise fees at the end of your stay, we want to be transparent about the rules for this property. Before you book our home, please make sure to read and comply with these important rules.

The property was just as advertised, the beds are very comfortable, and the items in the house all just WORK! As a person who has stayed at a few different VRBOs, it is refreshing, because sometimes features are noted, but then when you get there they can be little less than what you might expect. They have clear instructions, the outdoor games have their pieces (the golf is a little small, but that's how the pictures look and my kids still had fun with it). The house stayed at a comfortable temperature, the "spool" has spectacular views and overall the property is just great. The record player actually works and has some nice choices to play. The TVs work great, wifi is fast, and really I'd recommend this house to anyone wanting an upscale stay in the foothills of Tucson.

We enjoyed our stay, the house was wonderful and had everything we needed. We didn’t want to leave. Both outdoor areas were nice and quiet areas to relax. We enjoyed the outdoor and indoor games. The views from the spool were amazing and at night you could see the lights of Tucson. Stars were also enjoyable in the evenings. During our stay we visited a National Park, a State Park, went hiking, went mountain biking, shopped and enjoyed some good food. All activities restaurants were close to the house. We would definitely return for another visit.

This property was amazing! It is even better than the pictures; it is a well designed, chic house, in a beautiful neighborhood with unbelievable views and outdoor living spaces. It was extremely clean, well equipped (laundry/cleaning supplies, snacks, coffee essentials, cooking supplies, spices/oils, shampoo/conditioner/body wash/hand soap, toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags). Everything was in perfect condition and in perfect working order. We are already planning our trip back next year for our first anniversary.

Wow! What a great place. It has a number of games both inside and outside, two wonderful patios, a spa / pool for relaxing and all the amenities you might need inside. We loved it with our little dog and family. They even had bowls and a towel for the dog.

A GREAT VIEW

I will start with some negatives first. The house is located on the side of a hill. The driveway has a 30-to-35-degree incline to the garage. By the way the garage is not attached to the house, and we were not allowed any accessed to the garage to park our car for security. The house is very nice. Technically it is all on one level but to get down to the house from the driveway you have 6 steps. The house itself has 2 steps in 3 locations. I mention these things because if your 65+ you might need to know. If you are younger there should be no problem. Now the pros of the house. It is very nice house with a very good location to do things. The view of the sunrise coming over the mountains are spectacular. What is more unique is the moon rise from behind the mountains. So all and all we would do it again.
