"Hotel had only 25 to 30 guests out of a capacity of 200 plus. Potentially a lovely place- near good walks and beach, nice grounds and rooms and good gym. But..... The spa which they are still advertising is unusuable €26 to play tennis !! The only vegetarian option at dinner, mushroom ravioli, contained meat ! No vegetarian option at all on 2nd night so we had to eat pasta and tomato sauce Laura was the only saviour as she put on a yoga class and tried to enthuse the small number of guests....

"A lovely stay. Bungalow 1063 is really nice. I marked it down a little as the terrace door wouldn't lock and the main light in the living area flickered a lot. I did report these faults. I was told someone would be round to fix them within 20 mins. After an hour I rang reception to chase this up and then 5 mins later someone came to fix the issues. Beautiful sunrises from the terrace! Very spacious bungalow. I slept very well. Staff at reception were okay. I don't feel they went out their way to...

"The hotel was nice, modern and the pool, restaurants and bars are pretty good. Entertainment staff worked hard, as do the housekeeping staff, good variety of food and drinks. There seems to be a lack of toilets though... for either of the pools, Breeze bar or Pala Santo restaurant, you need to go into the hotel itself and there is one set of toilets for the entire downstairs area, day and night."

I don't feel they went out their way to welcome me. I had to ask for directions to the pool, ask about payments at bars etc (I was self catering). Nothing was really forthcoming coming. The map to find my bungalow was very clear. Maintenance work was going on by the pool when I was there so opted to sunbathe at the beach instead. Access to the beach is great. Sangria at the pool bar is ok, no food snacks offered which was disappointing. La Perlita on the beach is fabulous."

"So the facilities (breakfast, pool, access to beach etc) are all really good. Staff were excellent, as was the evening entertainment. The place does look good on the surface, but then you see it needs some TLC: pool ladders need fixing, elevators got stuck, sink plug lets water through, towel hooks spin around, finishing in disrepair etc. But on the whole it’s okay, and the location is very good w.r.t. local shops, bars restaurants etc. And for an extra €30/€50 they can extend check-out to 3.00 or 5.00 PM."

H10 Tindaya

10/10 Excellent

"We are extremely happy with our stay at this hotel. The service was outstanding, and the entire staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, especially the ladies at the reception, who were always kind and welcoming. Nothing was ever too much trouble. The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented, and there was a great variety to choose from. The snack bar also offered an excellent selection throughout the day. The hotel is located right next to a beautiful beach with direct access from the resort, which was a huge advantage. Our room was modern, spacious, and spotless, just like the entire resort. Everything was kept exceptionally clean. We would especially like to thank the staff for their outstanding care and kindness. We were travelling with insulin and needed to freeze the cooling packs for our travel container. After asking if this would be possible, they went above and beyond by bringing a refrigerator with a freezer compartment directly to our room. This thoughtful gesture made our trip so much more comfortable, and we truly appreciated it. This hotel is perfect for families with children. There are plenty of activities, including a foam party in the children's pool, a large inflatable obstacle course in the pool, daily entertainment, mini golf, a padel court, a beach volleyball court, a football pitch, outdoor barbecue events, and many other attractions. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Toto?

The best area to stay in Toto is the bustling resort of Playa Paraíso, known for its modern amenities and sea views.

Playa Paraíso is a purpose-built resort town along the coast, offering a range of hotels, restaurants, and shops. It's characterised by its promenade that runs along the seafront, providing easy access to several coves and small beaches. Many establishments here offer stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean and the neighbouring island of La Gomera.

For couples, Playa Paraíso provides a sophisticated setting. You'll find a good selection of quality restaurants for evening meals and stylish bars for a relaxed drink. The area is well-connected for exploring other parts of the island, and many hotels offer high-end fitness equipment and spa facilities for a comfortable stay.

Families will also find Playa Paraíso convenient due to the availability of hotels with larger rooms and child-friendly facilities. The calmer coves are suitable for swimming, and the promenade offers a pleasant, flat surface for buggies or a gentle stroll after dinner.

When is the best time to go to Toto?

The best time to visit Toto, Canary Islands, is during the shoulder seasons of spring (April to May) and autumn (September to October). These months offer a pleasant balance of warm weather, fewer crowds, and generally more favourable prices for flights and accommodation.

During spring, you'll experience comfortable temperatures, typically ranging from 20°C to 25°C, with plenty of sunshine. This is an excellent time for outdoor activities like hiking and exploring the island's natural beauty without the intense summer heat. The island's flora is also in full bloom, adding to the scenic appeal.

Autumn provides similarly agreeable weather conditions, with temperatures often lingering around 23°C to 28°C. The sea remains warm enough for swimming and water sports well into October. This period is ideal for couples seeking a relaxed getaway before the peak winter tourist season truly begins.

While Toto enjoys a mild climate year-round, the summer months (June to August) can be very hot and crowded, particularly with families on school holidays.
