"Aspectos positivos: El propietario nos facilitó un aparcamiento de pago muy práctico en las inmediaciones. Aspectos negativos: - La habitación estaba limpia y se correspondía con las fotos, pero no con la descripción: era un estudio sin dormitorio independiente, al contrario de lo que se indicaba en el anuncio. - A pesar del sistema de registro de llegada en línea, tuvimos que reenviar los datos de nuestra identificación varias veces y no recibimos los códigos de la puerta hasta alrededor de...

Top Torrejoncillo Hotel Reviews

Parador de Plasencia

10/10 Excellent

"Property was clean, well maintained and historic."

Hotel 4* Puente de Alconétar

10/10 Excellent

"The hotel is very impressive. What looks like an old castle restored and converted with many of the old features remaining. Staff very helpful, pets allowing in the bar which was great. Car parking in the grounds and very easy to enter/exit. The hotel sits in a big beautiful square. Would happily recommend."

Hotel La Encomienda

10/10 Excellent

"This hotel was great! While the immediate neighborhood is a little worse for wear in some ways, don’t let that put you off. This is a really nice hotel in a really nice little town. If you have time, walk across the stone arched bridge and enjoy the beautiful park on the other side. There are food stores, restaurants and everything you need - and the hotel it itself was great."

La Posada de Grimaldo

10/10 Excellent

"A really nice relaxing place with a personal check-in. The rooms are large and nicely furnished. There is a very useful communal kitchen shared between the 3 rooms to help yourself to cheese, fruit, bread, tea and coffee. There is a bar that serves food one minute away. Overall highly recommended"

LOS ALAMOS BOUTIQUE

10/10 Excellent

"We attended at the hotel on a Sunday afternoon, where we found out that they don’t serve meals Sunday at all. ( No staff). But to be fair, No restaurants or cafes were open either owing to it being Sunday. (this included the town where the cafes and restaraunt’s don’t open till around 8 pm. But right next door to the hotel is a garage that sells fresh baked bread. Cakes. Packed meat slices. Cheese and drinks. More than enough to see us through. The male person who was on duty at the hotel was really helpful and told us that although the bar was closed, he would open up just for us, so we didn’t have to go without. ( there is also a coffee machine in every room). This is what you call real customer service. Again, the rooms were spotlessly clean. Very modern, and very comfortable. If you do go on a Sunday and you want to go to the town. It is literally 3 mins drive and just park in one of the main car parks and walk up to the Plaza Mayor where most of the restaurants and bars are. (You can’t drive into the plaza). Or ask the staff which they think is the best place to go. They are all very helpful. Already in the process of booking again in September."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Torrejoncillo?

The best area to stay in Torrejoncillo is within the town centre, particularly around the Plaza Mayor.

This central area is the heart of Torrejoncillo, where you'll find the main square, the Church of San Andrés, and most of the local shops, cafes, and traditional restaurants. The streets here are narrow and historic, offering a glimpse into local life. It's very walkable and provides direct access to the town's key landmarks.

For couples looking for a relaxed and culturally rich experience, staying near the Plaza Mayor is ideal. You'll be able to enjoy leisurely strolls, sample local cuisine, and experience the town's traditions first-hand, such as the Paso de Las Corridas during the annual Fiestas de San Andrés.

Solo travellers will also appreciate the town centre's convenience and accessibility.

When is the best time to go to Torrejoncillo?

The best time to visit Torrejoncillo is during spring (April to June) and autumn (September to October) for pleasant weather and fewer crowds.

During these shoulder seasons, the weather is generally mild, making it ideal for exploring the town and the surrounding Extremaduran countryside without the intense heat of summer. You'll find it easier to enjoy outdoor activities like walking or visiting local farms. Spring brings blooming wildflowers, while autumn offers comfortable temperatures and the chance to see harvest activities.

For those interested in local festivities, January is a popular time to visit for the "Encamisa" festival, a unique tradition involving bonfires and horsemen. While it can be colder, this cultural event offers a distinct experience.
