Liked our newly renovated room especially the bathroom/toilet. Also had a beautiful view. Enjoyed the buffet breakfast. Also use the self service laundry which was easy and economical. Only small drawback was that our room was very far from the elevator.

Check in was very easy, property were kind enough to allow me to keep my bags there after arriving early. Bed was comfortable enough, although only one western pillow was provided, two would’ve been perfect. Bathroom was nice, bath was fine for someone 6ft 1. Shower head settings weren’t ideal - three options of jet, small spray and mist but that’s a nitpick. Complimentary bottles of water provided every day which was nice. I didn’t partake in breakfast as it was slightly too expensive for my budget (around £11 a day). Property was well located, Shiodome station is right there and Shimbashi is a short 7 minute walk away. Takes about 20-30 minutes to get to the big places like Shibuya, Shinjuku and Akihabara. Recommend this hotel if you’re in Tokyo!

Everything was great tbh just that we had some people in other hotel that collects our luggages and brings it to our room but for this hotel they did not. But everything else was top tier

This hotel is an excellent option for people looking for a place in a quieter area than Shimbashi and cheaper than similar options in Ginza. Skyscrapers surround the area, and it's near Tsukiji, Shimbashi, and Ginza. It also is well connected to Subway and JR stations. The only issue I could think of is that it could be challenging to find if you don't know the area.

Hotel in a quieter business district but still walkable to Ginza and very close to the well connected Shimbashi station. It occupies the first 10 floors of an office building and common areas are nicely appointed. Breakfasts can be crowded, but otherwise it was a comfortable stay.

Extremely clean and in a good location. Staff were exceptionally professional. The air-conditioning required a few restarts and the gym could be in a better condition.

Great location to stay in Tokyo. Once we realized that the hotel is directly connected to Shiodome station (don’t even have to go outside), our commute to different areas was a breeze! Mandatory room cleanings every 3 days were nice and hotel was clean overall. We opted out of breakfast buffet since there is a Lawson / 7-11 right near by as well as cafes in the train station for a quick bite. Overall would recommend mostly for the location convenience. Not much to do around the hotel though if that’s what you’re looking for and not planning to commute much.

Above average. To Shimbashi station is around 10 mins by walk. To those luxury brands in GINZA is around 10-15 mins by walk. one station away. Breakfast quality is good though it’s limited options of foods. Also we had to wait for the breads refilled. It’s unusual in Japan.

The first day after we checked in I open the bathroom door and then I smell something very bad like somebody pooped and didn’t flush the toilet. Then I realized probably the smell came from the sewer system. I called front desk they sent a lady up to check 10 minutes later. She came in checked then she said” I didn’t smell anything. What did you smell?” I told her that I was standing outside by the door I even smell it. Then she began to turn on the sink water and tub water for about 2-3 minutes. I think she knew there is a problem from the sewer system. I’m not very happy because she could tell me where does that smell came from but not denied the fact. After flashing about two to three minutes. She said “now it’s normal no smell “ the she left. At midnight when I woke up I still can smell the bad smell came from the bathroom even the door was closed. Next morning the smell still there I don’t understand why she denies it. It seems she knew there is a problem that is why she played her trick by flashing the water for two to three minutes. I guess the sewer system having problems which is when there’s no water flashing down the smell coming up.She knew the fact but refused to change another room for us. That is why I gave you one stop if I could give zero star I will do it.

Stayed in a renovated room, was good. Perfect location if taking airport limo bus. Walkable distance to Ginza. Happy hour was a good idea. Breakfast was not bad but wouldn’t pay for it. Nice n proactive staff. Will be back.

The Villa Fontaine in Shiodome is the best place I have stayed in Tokyo. Though located in the center of a business hub, the area actually adds to the charm because there are no crowds during the weekend. The Hotel places itself within a business building and fairly close to the JR station and very close to the subway. I've stayed here twice and have been surprised by how spacious the rooms are for a Tokyo hotel. All staff understand English very well and surely know other foreign languages. Of the many places I've stayed in Japan, the Villa Fontaine is at the top of my list as Hotels go.
