The alleyway is very narrow and can only fit at maximum 2 people at a time so be mindful of your surrounding when visiting especially when there's many drunk people walking by from the bars. The bars are also very tiny and can only fit less than 10 people at a time. This was my first time to Japan and I was travelling with a friend. We decided to stay at Hotel Shu because of the price and location. While we were ultimately not disappointed, you should know that the twin bed suite is very tiny - typical for anY Japanese apartment. Communication with the hotel via email was prompt, timely. However, at the front desk it was limited because of our understanding of Japanese. If you need to book a taxi, make sure to ask the staff 24 hours in advance! I would definitely stay again. The self check in was a breeze and the place was very clean. The location was a tremendous advantage.
