Radisson Safari Hotel Hoedspruit

10/10 Excellent

"I was skeptical of a big chain in Hoedspruit - we usually stay in small inns, but we had an unexpected stay here when my mother in law had an emergency stay at the hospital, arriving late at night. On arrival and throughout our stay the staff went ABOVE and beyond for us. Giving my in laws an upgraded main floor room so they didn’t have to go upstairs. And being very patient when we were working with Hotels.com trying to add an extra day on to our stay. The hotel itself is beautiful - lots of trees, fantastic pools, well appointed comfortable rooms, good restaurants and fantastic breakfast. We will definitely keep this hotel in our mix of places to stay when visiting Hoedspruit!"

"We had a fantastic stay at AM Lodge and thoroughly enjoyed every moment. The villa is beautiful, comfortable, and provides the perfect setting to relax and unwind. What made our stay especially memorable was the amazing staff. Everyone was so warm, friendly, and welcoming, always going out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Their genuine kindness and hospitality made us feel right at home. A huge thank you to Origin and Carl for our game drives – and for not giving up until we finally found the rhino! Their knowledge, enthusiasm, and determination made the experience unforgettable. We’d also like to thank Charity for being the hostess with the mostest and taking such wonderful care of us throughout our stay. Thank you to the entire team for making our visit so special."

"The lodge is lovely, game drives well organised. Every effort is taken to ensure your comfort. Our driver/ tracker was polite, friendly and well informed. We saw lions, rhinos, elephants, hynae, jackal, zebra, giraffes hippos... but no leopard! The food is pretty average and your preferences that they ask about are pretty much ignored. I had said no pasta but that is what I got and a bland and tasteless one at that with no sauce. In particular the dinners lack imagination, especially if you are vegetarian."

"Absolutely incredible stay! Had a phenomenal guide, KK, who was excellent as a spotter, guide and genuinely nice and kind. All the staff were helpful and friendly, a pleasure to be around. First night was a resounding success with a “bush braai” in the boma. Spectacular welcome to the reserve. Thanks to all there for a truly memorable trip!"

"Our safari experience was truly unforgettable! Nestled within Kruger National Park, the lodge offered comfortable and clean cabins. The friendly staff went above and beyond to ensure each day was exceptional. A special shout-out to our guide, Andrew, whose expertise led us to see four out of the Big Five, along with many other animals in their natural habitat. Every morning and evening safari was a highlight, enhanced by thoughtful touches like coffee and snacks during the morning trips and wine and snacks in the evenings. Dining at the lodge was a delight, with gourmet meals served while we watched wildlife gather at the waterhole. This was a fantastic experience that I highly recommend!"
