"We spent 2 weeks in the region with Jamaicaville as our base only leaving the property to go to Newcastle. Most days were spent lazing around, short walks and watching the kangaroos & the diversity of birds at sunrise & sunset. It was very hot on most days, however the house was very well insulated with the rammed earth walls. "A trip to Mudgee as our first family holiday with our 6 month old was made all the more special with gorgeous accommodation and an even more accommodating host in Sara. Everything about our stay was perfect from the beautiful home that is Abercorn, to the hospitality of Sara and Matthew. The images don’t do this place justice, from the moment you arrive you feel like you are home, with every detail thought of across the property. We didn’t have the best weather for our stay but that didn’t even matter. Abercorn was the perfect place to snuggle up near the fire, play indoors with our baby, and enjoy a wine or two over a board game. Highly recommend if you’re after a luxurious ‘home away from home’ type of stay with the most hospitable hosts you could hope for!"
