Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Thursford?
The best area to stay in Thursford is within the village itself or the immediate surrounding countryside, particularly for those attending the Thursford Christmas Spectacular.

Staying directly in Thursford village means you're just a short walk or drive from the Thursford Collection, which houses mechanical organs and steam engines, and of course, the venue for the Christmas Spectacular. It's a small, quiet village, so accommodation here often consists of charming guesthouses or holiday cottages, great for a relaxed stay. This location is ideal for couples looking for a convenient and cosy base for their visit to the show.

For families, the surrounding rural areas offer more space and a chance to enjoy the Norfolk countryside. Villages like Fakenham, just a 15-minute drive away, provide a wider range of accommodation options, including larger self-catering properties.
