We loved our stay at Ten Bits Ranch. It was very clean and well kept. The community kitchen was fun and breakfast almost always involved talking with other guests and sharing experiences. We were there during the cold snap in January of 2026 when much of Texas was struggling with snow and ice. We had a fair amount of rain. The owners arrived and stayed throughout the bad weather and made sure electricity wasn’t a problem. We had 4WD and had no trouble getting around. If you like getting away from crowds, this is a great place to stay. The road is a tough drive, but the property is worth it. Nails the old west town feel and while there aren't a ton of amenities, the shared kitchen is one we will be back for next vacation with the kids and family. Has a summer camp vibe I loved but with air conditioned room, hot water, and a comfortable room. Not too far from Terlingua and big bend national park.
