Great Stay with Some Improvements Needed
I had a pleasant stay at Hotel Riu Plaza Guadalajara. The room was spacious, very clean, and offered a beautiful view of the city. Room service was excellent — quick, attentive, and made my stay more comfortable.
On the other hand, I did notice staff openly discussing work complaints in guest areas, which felt unprofessional and affected the atmosphere. The main issue came at check-out: I had a credit balance, but the front desk couldn’t process my refund due to an earlier clerical error. I was told it would be handled later, but I left without clear confirmation, which was frustrating.
Overall, this is a comfortable and well-located hotel with good service, but management should improve staff professionalism and front desk procedures to ensure a smoother guest experience.

This place is very unique in so many ways. It might not be a very luxurious hotel, but its rustic appearance gives enchanting vibes. From the balcony, I was able to see Los Dos Templos, the pool was very clean, it was close to La Catedral de Guadalajara, it had so many restaurants at walking distance. The staff was super friendly and always attentive to our needs. Overall, our stay was warmth and welcoming.
