"The staff were so very helpful. I came down with food poisoning the day we arrived (not caused by this hotel). The staff were so kind and offering advice. They told us where the local pharmacy was. The food was very good, I did have dinner the first night and it was one of the best meals we had in Morocco. I did not eat breakfast the next morning due to coming down with food poisoning, but my travel companions stated it was delicious. The rooms were absolutely adorable and the balcony was...

8.0 out of 10, Very good, (2 reviews)
"Service, hospitality, staff were excellent. Mohammad, Yassin, The chef, & and the third server were warm, attentive and accommodating to our dietary needs. Few flaws of this property- this property is in a remote location, deep inside the village. Few rooms, particularly the nearest rooms to the office at the ground floor and the one at the top floor, smelled terrible. Not sure if the smell was related to the cleaning supplies used or the old wood furniture or unwashed area rugs in the room. "

"My partner and I had a long stay here and said that we would come back to stay, if/when we visit the area again. The breakfast and menu for other meals is basic, though nothing to complain about. The rooms were clean, comfortable and modern. The spa was also basic, though one might research for a more authentic experience; however, convenience satisfied with a relaxing massage. Overall, the facilities are nice with lounges, bar area, two restaurants, pool and poolside service. Plus, the view...

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Tazentoute?
The best place to stay in Tazentoute is the village centre, particularly around the historic kasbahs.

This area is the heart of Tazentoute, offering a glimpse into traditional Moroccan village life. The kasbahs themselves are fortified mud-brick structures, some of which have been beautifully restored and converted into guesthouses. The main streets are narrow and winding, great for exploring on foot, and you'll find local shops selling crafts and spices.

Couples looking for a romantic and authentic experience will find the kasbah guesthouses particularly appealing. Many offer secluded courtyards, rooftop terraces with stunning views of the Drâa Valley, and traditional Moroccan hospitality, often including home-cooked meals. It's a wonderful way to connect with the local culture and enjoy a peaceful retreat.
When is the best time to go to Tazentoute?
The best time to go to Tazentoute is during the spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) months.

These periods offer the most pleasant weather, with warm days and cool evenings, making it ideal for exploring the region. The spring sees the landscape in bloom, while autumn provides comfortable temperatures for outdoor activities without the intense heat of summer or the chill of winter. This is great for couples or solo travellers looking to enjoy the area's natural beauty and cultural sites in comfort.

Travellers planning hiking or trekking adventures will find these seasons particularly suitable. The trails are more accessible, and the cooler temperatures make longer excursions more enjoyable.
