Forgot to turn the radiator down meant we roasted overnight but that was our error. Staff were very lovely and accommodating. Pub itself very busy with a good atmosphere, but not noisy or rowdy as it’s a gastro pub. Was beautifully decorated, big room and en suites. Absolutely massive bed and really comfortable. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. We also had dinner in the restaurant and the food is amazing! Also very noisy street outside so ask for a rear facing room. Whilst the food is delicious, £28.50 for one filet of pan fried bream served without any significant vegetables is not good value for money especially when a very small portion of chips cost £5.95! The overall attitude of the waiting staff both at dinner and breakfast was at best indifferent! However they supply earplugs for a reason. If you are a light sleeper you may suffer from the music from the nearby night club or the revellers in the street. This is a fantastic place to stay, right in the town. There is parking on site which is very handy. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful. The food is simply amazing.
