The proprietors were welcoming and very helpful with dietary intolerances. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable. The food was tasty and plentiful, proper food, not that novelle cuisiine nonsense. The beer was well-brewed and truly tasty. The parking was a bit cramped but nothing that any reasonably competent driver could not cope with. Nice and easy! The location was very easy to find, parking out the front (although not alot so might struggle if it’s busy). They called in advance to ask if we wanted food as we arrived later than expected which was fantastic service. Check in was very prompt and easy! Nice clean simple rooms! Exactly what we needed for a good nights stay, good tea and coffee facilities and they provided a flask of milk which was lovely as normally you get those horrible UHT things. Great shower! Quite a homely little place, everything was a little crooked or slightly uneven but that’s the characteristics of the building! The stairs leading upto the rooms could do with a clean but I understand your in a rural area so that’s to be expected! Overall I was very happy would recommend and will potentially look to stay there again if we are down that neck of the woods. If your fussy and are looking for the four seasons then not for you but if you want some where clean, comfy, easily accessible and a great price then I would highly recommend.
