« Room was average for the price paid but overall looked tired. Very old pub and traditional rooms but that’s no reason to ignore mould and damage to the bathroom and paint flaking off the walls. Light fitting was hanging off by exposed wires. In the evenings the pub downstairs is busy with a lot of noise heard upstairs until about midnight. »

« Visable damp on the bathroom wall by the shower and a very strong smell of damp in the downstairs area including bedrooms. The owner tried to disguise the smell with air fresheners and by leaving the windows open but the smell of damp was still immediately apparent on entry. Had we been staying longer than 2 nights and not arrived so late in the evening on the first night we would have left. It was a real shame because everything else about the property and surrounding area was beautiful, but...

« Parking was excellent. However when we got into our superior double room, the dual aspect views were fantastic but some of the issues we found were a bit upsetting as we spent £175 for 1 night. There was mould on 1 of the walls by the wardrobe, there was wood chipped off bedside table by side window and 1 of the lamps by the tv didnt even have a light bulb in it. »

« I had a lovely stay at The Three Shires Inn which is in the lovely, quiet spot in the middle of the countryside. Loved seeing the mountains and sheep. I would highly recommend. »

« Nous avons passé une nuit sans problème. Un accueil correcte avec toutes les explications nécessaires. L'endroit est magnifique et je propose ce hostel pour un séjour dans la nature. Le parc est magnifique. Coniston est très joli avec ses restaurants et ses s pubs sympa. »
