Great place to stay with everything that you need. Good location for dinner, and so relaxing.
Will definitely come back again.
Host was so obliging and happy to accommodate our request of booking changes because of date alterations for a specific event.
Would highly recommend. So inviting!
We loved staying here. The house is an old bank with classic floorboards and high ceilings, a really beautiful old house. It is also well appointed and comfortable. Taralga is a lovely little village with a great restaurant at the Argyle Inn just up the road. Five stars.
Thank you so much Lisa for making our stay very welcoming . Everything was clean and ready for us in the property. All our questions and request were answered while our stay , check in was so easy , Lisa as well offered us to check in early and check out anytime we wanted which we founded this a very generous act from her end. Thank you for your hospitality.
No. 52 Orchard Street ("The Bank") is a few minutes walk to the Corner Store, local coffee shop, Art Gallery etc. and also to the Argyle Inn. Opposite is a park that offers great fun equipment for the kids and also adults to do a little work out! The house is kept warm with heaters and a fire place - very comfortable with clean modern bathrooms. Out of every window there is a pretty view.
A great place for a couple of days in the country.
We stayed for 2 nights and it was accessible to the pubs and eateries and a great park for the kids.
Taralga was a very friendly township with a beautiful feel.
We stayed over the Easter break. Great location for visits to Wombeyan caves, taralga wildlife Park (pat a wombat) and other sites in regional nsw. Nice fireplace and prompt responses from Lisa :)
It was a trip to Taralga with friends and family. Place looked awesome at Stayz. Reservation was easy and smooth and the host communicated well. Host sent a detailed message with what to bring and the whereabouts of Taralga and also said tea, coffee, sugar, salt, pepper, oil and vinegar were available at the property. Hence, we bought all other necessities from Goulburn and departed to Wombeyan caves. Arrived at the holiday home around 5pm. We freshened up and got ready have a tea, found there is no tea. Then we started to look around to see that no oil, no salt and so on... Taralga grocery closes at 4.30 and we had to drive back 40mins to Goulburn to get stuff! and no reception at taralga. Luckily one of my friend's Boost sim had reception so we called the Host (used wifi to message host but had no reply). Host then sent the carer to the premises and we found that the basic necessities were not stocked for a while. Fortunately the holiday home next to ours was vacant and she got all stuff from there but no oil. If it was not for the Boost reception, we had to drive back to Goulburn which should have been utterly unpleasant. Also, the oven took ages to bake the meat. It needs to be repaired! I expect more responsible caring of the guests as well as the kitchenware. Please restock and repair the oven! location was good, house was clean, loved the ambience and everything else was great. Host offered late check out which was generous. Buy all your stuff from Goulburn and arrive.
Lovely historic place to stay complimenting the delicious regional dining experience at the Argyle Inn. Very clean and comfortable and so warm in the depths of wintry June . Enjoyed our stay and can recommend it to other country explorers.
This is a delightful place to stay: quiet, roomy, warm (despite some very cold and very wet weather), clean and very comfortable all round. Well-provisioned kitchen, with a good oven and microwave, made it easy to prepare and cook meals. A very generous and helpful (but never intrusive) host, who made sure we were well supplied with firewood to cope with the cold, even delivering a top-up in the middle of a very wet night. Thoroughly recommend this as a place to wind down and relax.
We were a family of 5 in this house. Great big rooms and large bathrooms. Great showers. Close to general store and little coffee van and across from the park. We were able to quickly head in any direction for a day trip or two.
WiFi was very frustrating though as it kept dropping out several times a day and the AC wasn’t operational while we were there which made the house quite warm as it was hot and humid but fans in each room gave some relief. Overall a nice stay in a cute town with beautiful countryside.
Everything about the property was fantastic. Easy to access, perfectly located, great amenities, an all-round delight. Lisa was great to deal with, would thoroughly recommend - will visit again.
We had a hiccup with our car and needed to stay after checkout time. This was not a problem and Lisa was most obliging and made sure that we were ok.. perhaps a stronger lot in the bathroom would help people of a certain age !
