Great place to stay. Booked last minute for one night only, but ended up staying another just because of staff, guests and condition of the property another plus price is so acceptable to your wallet.
Definately recomend this property to my friends and family. Next time i am in Tallinn will stay here
It is a good hotel. The city centre is easily reached with a taxi or public transport. Furthermore, the Kadrioru park is at walking distance. The breakfast has diverse options and it is also possible to have dinner at the hotel.
A nice new hotel. Very good service and nice modern twist in all the places. It’s a very nice alternative to the many Old Town tourist hotels. Clearly segmented more to young people, business visitors, travellers by car and lonely travellers. Parking next to the entrance and good breakfast. The only negative aspect is that the location is far from the center and there is not much happening in that area. A big park and the sea coast for walks but that’s it. The room was small but fine for one. For two it would feel tiny.
Super clean hotel. Tap water and fruits for free. Room with windows for fresh air, independent aircondition & sea view (see my photo). Bus stop exactly outside. Complete breakfast with salmon & Paulig coffee. Cute lobby. Negative comments I saw are not valid. For any kind of help speak only with German at reception, as his service is outstanding and must train all others. Visit Tartu by train!

Taste chicken curry at Elevant restaurant.
The room we were first assigned had not been cleaned yet. However, we were given another room right away. That room was great, staff excellent. Appreciate the eco friendly services. It was convenient for our ferry ride the next morning. Nice restaurant within 5-10 minutes walking near the water.
A couple of kilometres away from central Tallinn, this is an okay hotel with designs on being a "design hotel" – it says so in the name. The purported design elements weren't really anything to write home about. Still okay.
Service was a bit hit and miss. When I arrived, the reception clerk opened our discussion by bluntly informing me check-in only starts at 3 pm. I showed her my Hotels.com booking which clearly stated it starts at 2 pm. However, after she did provide me with a free coffee and service that hit the mark.
At breakfast, an employee who worked in the breakfast room actually physically elbowed me aside to unnecessarily wipe the table when I was trying to get something. I had to tell her "excuse me" three times with increasing volume before I could get her to move. (She heard me the whole time.) That's incredibly rude service, and I'd be lying if I told you this incident didn't colour my experience at the hotel.
In short, there are other, better places in this price range in Tallinn.
The ORU is very nice in appearance, its breakfasts are great. We arrived late, 10 pm, on the first night. The heat was on in the room. It was between 75 and 80 degrees F. I shut off the heat and tried to find a way to cool the room. My wife and I like to sleep around 68 degrees F as recommended by the National Sleep Institute. I went to the front desk and told the clerk the room was too warm and I could not find a way to cool it. He came to the room and the control panel was not active. A sign on the wall said they "turned off the air conditioning at the end of summer" This was October 7. The clerk said he would have them turn it on. It was never on during the next ten days. We could not sleep that first night because of the heat. The next day we brought in a fan. By leaving the window open continuously and running the fan we could get the temperature down. The street workers worked until midnight each night and with the window open it was noisy. While the rooms did not have AC, their restaurant did. The bathroom doorway had a square piece of wood across the opening at the floor. It did not taper to the floor. I stubbed my toe on it several times.

Bardzo dobry hotel, świetne śniadania, darmowy duży parking. Minusy: brak biurka w pokoju, brak czajnika w pokoju, brak kapci.
