Dejligt sted

Vidunderligt sted med lidt afstand til turist helvede. Lidt problemer med internet men ellers er der alt hvad man kan have behov for. Vidunderligt personale og fin morgenmad Dog kan det anbefales at man tager sine egne hovedetpuder med.

Exceptional Breakfast and Great Location

The room was very nice, modern, clean and well appointed. The breakfast was exceptional and we overheard Giancarlo telling another guest that his mother made some of the fine pastries spread out on the buffet. The location is excellent, being just a short walk to the Archeological Park. The bus to the historical island of Ortygia can be caught just around the corner. If you're coming by car, again, free street parking is also just around the corner. The receptionist recommended several good restaurants nearby and we can also recommend her endorsements. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend La Maison des Rêves to other travellers.

Goede B&B, ver van oude centrum

Met de B&B was niks mis; een ruime nette kamer, heerlijk ontbijt met taart door mama zelf gemaakt en al het personeel was super! Wij hadden ons vergist in de afstand naar het oude centrum, dat was een half uurtje lopen en dat is best ver als het zo warm is. De omgeving van het hotel was niet echt gezellig. Het is wel een kleine wandeling naar het Griekse theater en daar zou je op de de hop on bus kunnen stappen.

Abbiamo soggiornato in questo B&B, il personale molto cortese e disponibile, ma la cosa che ci ha lasciato senza parole è la Pulizia e la freschezza della struttura, la camera profumava anche l'armadio quando l'aprivi profumava di pulito, la camera era pulita infatti ho camminato per la prima volta a piedi scalzi. Veramente ottima anche la colazione che erano biscottini tipici fatti a mano. Consigliatissimo!! Meglio di tanti hotel… Grazie

Für unseren 8-tägigen Aufenthalt in Syrakus haben wir mit dem Maison des Reves ein ideales Hotel ausgesucht: klein, aber fein, familiär geführt, unmittelbar am Archäologischen Museum gelegen, zu Fuß in viertelstündiger Nähe zur Altstadt Ortigia. Besonders lobenswert: reichhaltiges Frühstück, saubere Zimmer und beste WLAN-Verbindung.

OK B&B but we are not pleased with the cleaning (used femcare towel in garbage bin when we arrived). Good breakfast and friendly staff. Watch out for hotels in Sicily (including the one) claiming ”free parking/parking included”! In this case it meant that we had to park in the streets nearby....not really what I/we mean with free parking..

Great location

Maison des Reves is ideally located in Syracuse. The Archeological Museum is across the street. The Greek and Roman ruins are just a few blocks away at the end of the street that runs in front of the hotel. In the other direction, the street ends at a seaside monument. We used the 5€ red hop on/hop off bus almost every day during our 8 day stay. The bus stop is just a block away. Everything is super convenient. We got the big room, although we only booked the junior suite. It is a corner room, so the room has 2 balconies. That makes for a lovely cross breeze, but the AC unit in the room worked perfectly. Everything was spotlessly clean, modern, stylish, and in perfect working order.The owner, Giancarlo, went above all expectations of what we expected from a host. There is a too extensive breakfast spread in the morning, including the owner and his father making perfect coffee and cappuccino drinks. It is both hot and cold foods. Freshed squeezed juices are a real treat. There is an elevator, but the hotel is not wheelchair accessible. There are about half a dozen stairs from the street through the courtyard and onto the elevator landing.
