Despite advising the owner beforehand exactly when we would arrive nobody was around to let us in. Eventually through speaking to neighbours someone arrived to let us in but said 'we did not know you were coming'!! How could that be? Property itself quite good but only access is through spiral metal fire-escape at rear, up 2 floors. You must however have own transport, otherwise you are a bit stranded at the hotel. So try and rent transportation, my taxi transfer cost to the hotel and back cost more then my 2 night stay at the hotel. Staff at hotel very friendly and helpful. I would like to thank the manager at the hotel for sorting out taxi transfer from the hotel to the port - I made it in time for my ferry. The small kitchen was good to have, so you could cook something if you didn't feel like eating out with two young kids. The staff where all very helpful and kind and came to check on us if everything was ok once we had checked into our apartment. The kids even received some gifts/toys from the hotel manager on the day of check out. It was a very good stay. We like Nimborio because it takes us out of the hustle and bustle of the town but is close enough to walk to. Take decent shoes. There are three tavernas and one hotel restaurant near by. The walk into town over the top takes 30 minutes and the longer road route is about 40 to the same area.The property work well for us and our friends who are a couple. It’s clean and tidy with the cleaner coming in three time while we were there for the two weeks. Welcome pack was very helpful to have, taxi to the ferry was easy to organise through just and they did not let us down. Also the neighbour downstairs is lovely. Recommended so much we’ve booked again for next year.
