"Very unsafe area for tourist! Do not come to this hotel unless you're prepared to get ripped off by every individual at the hotel and all along the beach. The couches were coverd in mold, the lights only worked between 6pm and 6am. The water was not working and no AC in the room. I stayed one night and left as soon as I could, I requested a refund but was met by rude responses from the staff even after listing all of the issues. "The communication was horrible. The listing does not state the water they give you per person is super limited for bath. The energy is super limited, they even said not to charge my kids tablet when they saw them. Not all rooms have fans (horrible heat we couldnt sleep) and the fans offered were in poor condition. "It’s nothing like walking in a hotel and your room and it smells so darn good. Everyone spoke to us, very polite and helpful. Squeeky clean great location to everything. Uber rides were easily accessible. The location we were able to walk everywhere mostly for food, drinks, beach, grocery store. And it was safe to do so for my wife and I. Only thing that may be an issue for some is the constant soliciting right in front and the corners of the hotel, we had to say no thank you 1000 times."

"We had a great stay at the Hyatt Regency Cartagena. The hotel is beautiful, clean, and very well maintained. Our room was comfortable and had amazing views. The staff was friendly, professional, and always willing to help. The location was also very convenient, with easy access to the Old City and other attractions in Cartagena. The pool area and overall atmosphere of the hotel were excellent and made it easy to relax after spending time exploring the city. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend the Hyatt Regency Cartagena. We would happily stay here again on our next visit to Cartagena."

"Es un buen hotel. Lindo hotel, buena vista al puerto. La ubicación es ideal para aquellos tomando crucero o que tengan carro ya que no quedan tan cerca al centro histórico. El staff fue amable. El desayuno estaba bueno, era buffet y tenía opciones de proteína, fruta, panes, cereales, jugos y café. Lo único que recomendaría al hotel es cambiar las toallas ya que unas se ven ya muy viejas y manchadas."
