8/10 Very good! (1,012 reviews)
This hotel was very clean; however, basic details need attention. Neither the parking lot lights nor the hotel sign were lit up at night. Coffee was not available at breakfast on either morning of our stay. While we had no plans to use the pool, it was closed for renovation. This hotel has the potential to be a nice basic place to stay, but management will need to prioritize guests' safety and convenience.

7.6/10 Good! (1,003 reviews)
The main parking lot was closed due to repairs to the underground parking lot and you had to park across the street. When I got to my room, my key cards didn't open the door so I had to return to the front desk to get new ones programmed. Staff in the evening weren't very friendly and was agitated when I asked for a couple of trash bags. The hotel itself was okay but the pop machines on the 6th, 5th, 4th, and 3rd floors didn't work so I had to use the one in the Lobby. My next trip to Des Moines will not be at this hotel.
