BLUF: Outdated and bring your own powerstrip. This was a late-evening decision as we were driving in to Springfield, because our preferred hotel was booked up. This is a pretty old property, with unremarkable grounds and exterior. Lobby was very dated and maybe a bit shabby, but we nearly tripped over a dehumidifier as we walked in, and a blower fan made it very difficult to communicate with the desk clerk. We had gotten the last room, an accessible room with an open shower plan in the basement, which had almost direct access to the parking lot. Its hallway had another blower fan at one end and it was very humid, but the room itself was cool and not humid at all. Bed was very comfy. Walls looked freshly painted and the bathroom was clearly updated with nice tile, but the carpet was likely installed maybe in the '90s. One thing I look for first is the availability of outlets and/or USB ports for charging all our electronic crap. The decrepit and aged bedside lamps had two outlets with floppy connections on each, and there were zero USB ports of any kind. One of the two outlets on my side fried my smartwatch charger plug and welded it to the now-deformed USB connector. The other plug left my cellphone at 0% when I woke up the next morning. I asked the clerk the next morning to trash the lamp before it started a fire, which it very easily could have done that night. Breakfast had typical fare with hot eggs, biscuits and gravy, waffle-maker, etc., well stocked and fresh.

such a cute hotel! I would've given it more stars except that they put us on the 3rd floor which is what I wanted until I found out they didn't have any elevators and my elderly mom was with us and that was an issue. They moved us to the first floor and waived the fee (after I explained the issue). The rooms are cozy, they have a nice hot tub and pool. breakfast was very small but filling. The best part is the creek behind the hotel, really beautiful!!

Excellent stay! Unique Outdoors motif in room. Wonderful breakfast buffet. Ample easy access parking. Will definitely stay again when in visiting Springfield!
