The best cabin experience we’ve been in. This is a beautiful property. Each guest room is carefully thought of as far as interior design is concerned. The whole lodge smells good. It’s very quiet and very clean! Even their towels are soft, clean and smell good. The restaurant serves delicious food for breakfast. The ciew from the 2nd floor balcony is just breathtaking. Every item reminded me of my childhood and a one room schoolhouse and my teaching career of 43 years. I enjoyed sitting on the balcony and reading my devotion and watching the mountains. I especially enjoyed getting to know your dog, Jumper. In fact when I got ready to leave this morning, he came to my car as I was loading and got his last pat and said goodbye. The only thing that I feel you could work on is getting some of the broken gravel picked up or brushed off of the steps and the entrances to the doors. Jun 23, 2025 #### Nice getaway near Skyline Drive This was our first stay at Lydia’s Lodge. It definitely won’t be our last. It’s quite nice. The Schoolhouse room is ok. The beds, bath and deck were great. We had an issue with the front door not locking. I went to the front desk, but no one was there. So we lived with it. The indoor seating could be improved. There are 3 schoolroom-like hardwood chairs. These aren’t necessary to enhance the “schoolhouse” motive. A couch or a couple of comfortable chairs would be appreciated. The restaurant (Bearrr Appetit) was great. We had dinner and breakfast. Both were delicious.
