Not only was the staff friendly and helpful all day long, the location was gorgeous, the room wonderfully decorated and the rocking chairs on the back porch with that view was incredible. Also had dinner and brunch at the restaurant which also had great service and we highly recommend the brisket for dinner! Jan 2, 2026 #### A Hidden Gem in the Shenandoah We just stumbled upon Lydia Mountain Lodge looking for a quiet retreat for New Year's Eve, but were pleasantly surprised that we did. Such a hidden gem in the Blue Ridge mountains. Clean, comfortable, warm, and rustic. We just stayed for a couple of nights in the middle of winter, but imagine it is even better in the warmer months. We enjoyed making a fire in the open hearth of the main room, the wonderful restaurant, and the New Year's Eve party.
