I lived in St. Simons for a college summer 40 years ago and was amazed at how timeless the neighborhood has been. The loft was a block from the Crab Trap (same great menu as 40 years ago, great eats!), a couple of blocks from the King & Prince hotel / beach, and within walking distance of Brogens on the square. Told my wife how good the Mushroom Swiss burger was there - exactly the same and the square has the same laid back vibe! If you want a quiet day at the beach go down to Gould's inlet. Long stretch of natural dunes, easy access / parking, and not much of a walk to get away from the crowds. The house was great - all new amenities, easy parking, and loved the coffee they had waiting for us. ##### STEVEN F.
