Wonderful neighborhood
It was perfect when we visited family and friends. It’s an old charming building with a nice charm. Everything worked perfectly except for on point. The bathroom door couldn’t be closed or looked which was a it enjoying. I can recommend this place. /Eriv

Forest Park Apartment
My overall impression was that the apartment is in a great location. The apartment itself needs a major update of the bathroom. There is no counter space in the bathroom , the bathtub needs tile work (broken tiles on the wall) and has some rust at the drain. The bed is mounted on a few wooden boards on the right and legs on the left, seems like something that can be easily fixed. In terms of check in I found out how to get into the apartment about 1 hour before, it would have been better to get the info before since I like to be organized. The check in instructions were very detailed. The proximity to Forest Park was wonderful.

Cute and clean apartment
The perfect little place for anyone looking to just crash for the night or just a place to sleep. Could sleep 2 in bed 2 on pull out couch and also had a futon. We also brought an air mattress just in case and it fit perfectly in the living room area. Tv with Roku which was nice to throw a movie on later at night. Parking garage nice and secure but not for large vehicles. Also kind of tiny so if you park we found it easier to back into a spot to make leaving in the morning east because not much room at all to turn around. Above parking garage area very open right outside entrance to apartment. Would be a nice outdoors area if you had lawn chairs you could bring and some games (bean bags/ladder golf/etc.) entrance to apartment building and the apartment itself very secure. Air conditioner may be loud for some people but I enjoy a little noise to fall asleep to and it definitely helped to keep the apartment cool. Property manager east to contact via messenger on the vrbo app.

I spoke with one of the neighbors and they said the building was from the 1920s. It’s a one bedroom apartment that I would call refurbished retro. Modern conveniences but with steam heat and cast-iron radiators that work really well. It was kind of cool when I stayed there, so I never got to run the air conditioning. nice neighborhood and secured parking. Well furnished and lots of interesting artwork on the walls. I will definitely want to stay there the next time I’m out to visit the family!

Friendly neighborhood and off street parking in a gated parking garage. Clean and kitchen items needed were provided. If taking wine, bring your own cork screw. :) I would stay again.

It was OK.
The property was mostly clean, but not clean enough for paying a cleaning fee to stay. Not to mention that they ask you to do 90% of the cleaning before you leave, so paying a cleaning fee was really annoying. Also, most VRBO’s i’ve stayed in at least have water bottles and small snacks in the kitchen. This place was entirely empty besides someone’s leftover fish that wasn’t cleaned out of the fridge before we got there. Owner was nice, but I’ve stayed in much nicer places for less.

Perfect weekend getaway
We took the short drive up from Springfield and stayed for one night so we could do a few Christmas themed activities in the city. The apartment was perfectly located for what we had planned with plenty of restaurant options (all had to go). The apartment stays toasty with the radiators so the fans were a nice plus. Also, the pillows were amazing and I'm going to be buying some myself! Host was easy to reach for any questions and the description of the apartment was accurate. Thanks again!

A little disappointed
Cleanliness was good and location in relation to what we were doing while in St. Louis was good. However, the apartment really needs a lot of updates. The main door of the apartment was very difficult to get in and out of. The water pressure was very low. My friend couldn’t even wash her hair because it would’ve taken forever to get the shampoo and conditioner out of her hair. The bathroom doorknob fell apart when my friend tried to exit the bathroom. The bathroom floor was cracked in two large places. The blinds were also broken in several places. I’ve stayed in much nicerr air bnb’s for less money.

The location is central to WashU and facilities were well set up. We were even able to record a TV show that we wanted to see. The bedrooms are good sized, very comfortable beds and pillows. The bathroom is a bit old/dated but is clean.

Needed to come to St Louis for Medical treatment. Great location near my hospial. Everything we needed was close by. The beds were so comfortable I didnt want to leave. Even post-op I was able to be very comfortable. Would stay here again in a heart beat. Thanks for the wonderful stay. My recovery was made better by having a home feel.

Great location, walking distances from Starbucks and the Zoo, with very secure parking. The owner gave us his cell phone number making him easier to reach. Then when our kids locked us our of the unit he was there in minutes with the spare key to let us back in! Great service, wonderful stay! If to do another vacation in St Lousi I would absolutely consider staying here again.

Beautiful place - lots of problems
This apartment is beautiful; lots of sunny windows, white walls, etc., and it was very clean. Unfortunately, there were many drawbacks during our stay that made it difficult. 1). The doors on each bedroom and the bathroom would not close completely and latch. This created an embarrassing lack of privacy, especially since we were two different couples. This could easily be fixed with a small hook on the inside of each room. 2). The refrigerator did not work. This was most inconvenient, as we could not store anything, and chose to eat out, which we had not planned and did not want to do because of the expense. 3). On Saturday afternoon when we were all preparing to go to a wedding, there was NO WATER. We did not even have a chance to call the landlord because we were all in a rush. But no showers, and we could not flush the toilet. The water was back on when we returned from the wedding, but we had really needed it earlier. 4). When we first arrived we all tried the combination to the lock box without success because we had been given the wrong combination. After a long frustrating time in the vestibule we were able to contact Jay. He was very nice, and he fixed it, but it was a rough start to a rough stay,

It's a great place and close to everything. We're made a mistake and came in behind the property and it is not pleasant back there and impossible to find the apartment. Once we found the front it was much different and way better. The fridge was out which kinda sucked, but Jay offered to reimburse any food. He told us he just had the fridge swapped for a new one, so it wasn't his fault the fridge was out. Great communication with Jay. We would stay here again

Lovely but Small Apartment in Great Location
Pros: -Located close to Forest Park, and thus a plethora of free attractions -In a quaint residantial neighborhood -Convienent first floor access -Beautiful decor without feeling being cluttered -Lots of windows for amazing natural light -Early 1900s charm -Comfy beds and soft sheets -Functional kitchen -Easy to sign-in to personal Netflix and Hulu accounts Cons: -Fan and light fixture in the smaller bedroom didn't work -Garage is awkward -Some things like the spice carousel and the top of oven felt sticky in the "grease build-up from cooking" way -French doors into the bigger bedroom provide very little privacy, even with the blinds -Apartment always either too hot or too cold (it's an old building. I understand that temp control is harder) -Couch too small, only fits 3 people comfortably -Closet in bigger bedroom tiny Overall, this was a pleasant stay. The 4 of us enjoyed the time was spent at this rental and felt that it fit our needs quite well.

Perfect Location Great Host Wonderful Apartment
We had a great stay. The apartment is well equipped and is in a great location. Jay is a wonderful host and very responsive. Secure parking garage was a plus but is also located in a very nice safe area in St Louis. It was the perfect place for a wonderful weekend. It is close to the Zoo and the Science Museum but also Delmar Loop..Vintage Vinyl, The Pageant and excellent food and drinks. Thanks Jay we will stay again.

I loved the apartment. Everything I could possibly need was provided. The area was beautiful and close to downtown. I loved looking at all of the old houses in the neighborhood. I did end up parking on the street because my car was too low to the ground to go in and out of the parking garage without dragging but I generally was able to park right in front of the apartment which was terrific.

Just ok overall
So initially would have given 4-5 stars as Jay was attentive to message responding and giving great ideas for where to visit, eat and tour! Stayed 2 nights - not able get tv to work. Jay did reply within few minutes how to turn on although these were already tried by my husband to no avail (were going to catch little of basketball tourney while couple members of our family had other activities in town). I'm personally ok with no tv especially while on a vacation but was little annoying. Bathroom door was missing a hinge so did not completely close. Every time flushed toilet there was visual leak from behind - not sure where leak goes - possibly basement. Bedding & towels were clean and beds comfortable. While in general things on surface seemed clean, my daughter dropped a chapstick that rolled under bed amongst loads of dust bunnies. I also dropped a small makeup item which rolled slightly under radiator in bathroom-also obviously an area that is overlooked with cleaning. (was gross). My biggest complaint was 2nd morning was planning to wake by 6am and at least an hour or 2 prior the entire apartment became uncomfortably warm/hot - threw bedding off and only became warmer. Opened a window while getting ready. (there had been a loud disturbance around 2:45am that was not the owners fault) Felt I had just gotten back to sleep when warm heat settled in. Bathroom was quite uncomfortable getting ready due to the heat. Looked all over for a thermostat and unable to locate. Of course during this time had messaged and also tried calling Jay as to concern of heat in this unit and no thermostat - what we could do. His phone call went right to voicemail. This was early Saturday morning around 6:30-7am that attempted to contact Jay. Only reply from that was a message that 'he was sorry for delayed response. Thanks for notifying him and hoping we enjoyed our stay' - this was not received until Sunday afternoon around 3pm (approx 33 hours after initial try to contact concerning heat) Maybe would have given no stars but for the explanations of how to enter the unit, ideas of things to do/places to see while in St Louis - that's my 1 star. I was overall disappointed for what was paid for this VRBO. So not worth it. It could be so much better with fixing little things and just being more attentive when there are renters visiting!! Glad we enjoyed our stay in St Louis otherwise as we did some awesome things. When we return it won't be to this rental

The location was great and it felt very safe. Easy street parking right in front of building. At first glance, apartment is nice. However, looking closer, we found the bathroom didn't feel clean (toilet dripping in back, gross sink drain) and many of the "clean" dishes and utensils in kitchen were visibly dirty. Pans for cooking were bad quality and hard to cook with and even worse to clean! Sorry Jay, you were great and I appreciated the fast responses from you but we probably wouldn't stay again, just wasn't quite up to par.

I stayed in this apartment with colleagues while attending a work conference at nearby Concordia Seminary. This location is very convenient to the Seminary, the great Forest Park/Zoo area and plenty of food. The apartment was as shown in the photos. Aside from a couple of minor issues upon arrival, which were promptly remedied, the accommodations were great, and the beds very comfortable. One suggestion I would make is to replace the missing lid to the coffee pot, since it was a little tough to brew a decent pot.

We stayed 1 night and the location was close to downtown and the zoo. The beds were so very comfy and everything was nice and clean when we arrived. I loved the fact the apartment had a lot of the original tile and hardwoods! We preferred to park on street vs parking garage.

The queen bed was comfortable. We had everything we needed. The window air conditioners we needed, living room one cools main bedroom so we kept the French doors open. Some blinds needed repair but we were okay with that. Nice older building, so not shiny new, but just right for us and our son & wife. Would enjoy staying there again.

Great Location, Great Apartment
We are a family of five and this apartment was the perfect size. It was a nice vintage apartment in a quiet neighborhood. The location was perfect with easy access to all the highways needed for every major attraction including the zoo, the Arch, City Museum and Anheuser-Busch. The longest we had to drive was 15 minutes. Parking was available in the garage, but plenty of parking was available on the street. Everything was as Jay described. There weren't any surprises. We would rent this place again.

Such a fun spot to do everything...St Louis
This quaint little apartment is in an older building, as is much of St Louis architecture. I felt like I was visiting another era, but with a clean and updated kitchen. There is a small parking garage that we actually got our 4WD Sierra with a Sirius antenae on top into. But, we shortly realized that this neighborhood is quiet and charming, and started parking outside on the street as it was quicker to get into the 1st floor unit that way. No one even bothered our ice chest. Overall, we love the location. We literally walked to the zoo. We rode our bikes to Forrest Park. Were minutes away from Grants Park to see The Clydesdales and to Busch Stadium to see The Cardinals. If you go to St Louis, you must checkout the musical acts at The Pageant, also nearby. And, The Hill, just around the corner is full of wonderful Italian restaurants and old neighborhoods. I would recommend this VRBO to anyone. It was clean and comfortable.

Quaint little place to stay in the heart of St. Louis. Property manager made sure we had all we needed and enjoyed the stay. Was a perfect location as it was a quick drive it uber ride to anywhere we visited.

City Charm At It's Best!!
This apartment was more than we could ever ask for! It's charm and coziness made it feel like home. It's clean and simple! The sun shines brightly through in the morning over this great neighborhood. It is within walking distance to the park, the bus, and places to eat! It has a locked parking garage which will accommodate a full size truck height. We absolutely loved it and would love to come back!
